Simple. Clean appearance. I wanted something without any digital crap that can be difficult to use sometimes. Works perfect and very loud. Would definitely buy again.

Back to basics...this is a perfect little timer. Looks good (no magnet) but sits on counter safely. No batteries or digital settings to deal with. Just turn the dial all the way to 55 minutes and then turn back to desired time. Rings loudly enough. Also price is right. Highly recommend!

I use a timer between sets when weightlifting. Because I do heavy compound lifts (powerlifting), sometimes I'm waiting several minutes to ensure that I've recovered enough to complete the next set successfully. But I also don't want to wait too long because a gym session can really drag on if you don't mind the clock. I wanted a simple, non-electronic timer that would be loud enough to hear with earbuds in. This is it. I bought this because it's completely mechanical, has no batteries to leak or go bad in my garage gym (which can range from 40 degrees F in the winter to over 90 in the summer), has good reviews, is inexpensive, and is very simple to operate. I really like the magnetic back on it because I can stick it to the side of my power cage and it will stay on there even when I'm racking a heavy bar. I have found that, to ensure accuracy for short time intervals, you need to turn the timer fully clockwise, then turn it back to where you actually want it. For example, to set it to 5 minutes, turn it to 60 minutes, then back to 5. I've checked it and it appears to be within 30 seconds or so of a digital stopwatch, which is fine for me. If you want anything more accurate, a digital timer would be a better choice but I doubt 30 seconds will make a different for most uses (including cooking). I've already had this thing fall to the ground once and it didn't break, so I'm going to call durability "good enough." For the price this is an excellent buy.

This timer is easy to set and is loud enough without screeching. However. It rings once for a short duration. It's nice that it doesn't keep ringing for minutes but longer than a couple of seconds would be nice.

Finally a timer I can use. This little thing is easy to use, accurate enough, and is decent looking. This is the third timer I ordered. The other had to be returned because they were too complex to use. This one is fine!

Wonderful timer! If you don't need an exactly precise digital timer--with its other drawbacks--this is the one to get. I'm fine with it being a handful of seconds either way, Fine looking, strong magnet keeps it on the fridge, very soft ticking, loud alarm I hear in the next room!

Love this timer. It's magnetic, so I never lose it. The noise level is perfect. The magnet strength is excellent. It does not need a battery.
