Simple but effective

No scratch map is better than Luckies! I bought a big one (the traditional gold) nearly 15 years ago now, but we had a flood in the house and it unfortunately lived its last. I have had it in my closet hung up next to a calendar through college and eight moves, so you know I love it. It's been on my list to replace, so I was so excited to spot the neons in a smaller size with country/state sections! As an avid traveler, having the organized sections per country or state is great. With my previous one, I would just scrape off a portion and it didn't always look nice, but having them be sectioned off in the first place makes such a difference. The scratch material is the very best, so easy to do but sturdy enough that you don't accidentally scratch off with a fingernail when you're scratching elsewhere. I got the purple, and it's so pretty!

My prior one is muuuuuuch larger in scale, and it also includes all the world's flags. This one is just the world's countries, but the smaller size seems OK, for maybe at a cubicle desk, for those few that still have to work in an office! The markings are clear to me on this. I'd say it'd not be as great for someone who is super new to traveling as presumably their world map knowledge is a bit less. The smaller size may make it harder to find areas to mark off. It comes flat packed which works well due to its small size (my other, larger ones have come rolled up in a tube). i think it's packaged perfectly for gifting to say, a teen or young adult.

This is a good idea for sure, but could use some improvements. It is unfortunately a bit too small at around A3 size to really let you accurately scrape off only the exact country (or state) you want unless you use a very precise tool. Speaking of which, no tool is included, and a coin is going to be too big to do you much good when trying to get the edges of a country. There are two "expanded view" circles for Europe (or at least a big chunk of it) and the Caribbean though, giving you an easier time for some of the smaller countries and islands. Speaking of islands, they do include some fairly remote ones in each of the oceans which is cool. Though I'm not sure why Franz Josef Land is included and Antarctica is not, that seems like an odd decision just based on the amount of visitors each gets. The relatively small size means it does not come folded however, which is great! Fold lines would have made this completely useless. If you don't mind the detail work that may be needed or the geographical inaccuracies (which to be fair are few and minor), this is a fun way to track where you've been or even for a kid to learn about geography (though as mentioned, there are at least some inaccuracies).

I got this thinking it would be a fun way to track all my travels. The purple overlay is easy to scratch off. I suggest using something like a nail file tip to keep the area more precise, especially with some of the tinier destinations and islands. The paper is thick enough to stand up to the scratching without ruining the colors underneath. Then the underlying color is bright making cities and countries easy to see. Just a really unique way to track where I've been over the years.

I haven't traveled as much as I'd like to so I find this map motivating as it's exciting to get to scratch off another country each time I visit somewhere new. So far a lot of the Caribbean is marked off and I'm hoping I'll be able to tackle europe soon. It's a very pretty map and it's pretty easy to attach to your wall.

Die klare und übersichtliche Darstellung der Länder und Städte macht das Rubbeln zum Vergnügen. Zusammenfassend kann ich die Luckies Rubbelkarte Neon uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Sie ist nicht nur ein praktisches Tool, um Reisen zu verfolgen, sondern auch ein stilvolles Dekorationsstück für jeden reisebegeisterten Raum. Wer seine Reiseerlebnisse in einer einzigartigen Weise festhalten möchte, sollte sich diese Rubbel-Weltkarte nicht entgehen lassen!

I was excited to receive the product but it was not what I expected. There are areas not included & the distinction between countries is not very clear so I was unsure how far or where to scratch. It left a horrible effect once scratched.

This was a Christmas gift for someone. Unfriendly the packaging was ripped which I did repair (if this wasn’t a present for someone I wouldn’t see it as an issue). The person has said they live it and it’s a nice size with pretty colours.

Arrived and Germany, France, Tunisia and Egypt were already scratched off
