When I select a size 8 from the product page, the description of the item in my cart says 9. But which is correct and which will be delivered?

The nine will be delivered. My son wanted an 8. I selected an 8 and a 9 was in the cart; I selected a 7 and an 8 was in the cart. I ordered both to see what happened and an 8 and a 9 came! I tried to send a message to Amazon that the listing was incorrect, but I guess that did not help. The good news is that the 9 fit me so I did not have to return! Nice gloves!

Is there a capacitive touch on the thumb as well? And how warm are these?

Hello! Yes, there are touchpoint capabilities on the thumb, as well as the fingers. The gloves are made of mostly polyester, with 20% wool so they are pretty warm liners. You could use them for driving, walking ,running ,etc., but they will not suffice as a ski glove, or any other activity where you need a warm, waterproof glove.
