Purchased for entertaining SED children at my work. It is great for any age, other than very young of course. I entertained a 5-year-old for quite a while, needing to provide only a small amount of assistance. It is the perfect size for so many applications, including keeping children entertained and challenged at restaurants. The materials with which it is constructed are extremely durable! It feels very solid and heavy, and is a wonderful value for the money. Even though I purchased for work, I will keep this for future grandchildren.
