Camera was bought to improve our churches live stream quality. The old camera required manually moving and focusing between shots and the quality wasn't great. After a lot of research, I found this one. The reviews coming from so many churches really helped convince me to purchase and since it's turned up, I'm so glad I did! Really easy to set up straight out of the box, literally plug it in and it's good. Quality is phenomenal, crystal clear and haven't needed to adjust any settings. Auto focus is quick and accurate no matter what the distance. Camera itself is reassuringly heavy, adding to the quality feel. Have created presets to be main lecturn, band, reading lecturn and baptism font and the switching is smooth and efficient as per the video. Easy to mount on the attached bracket, which also was heavy duty. One thing that we had to adjust was the IR receiver is at the front of the unit. We initially mounted the camera front towards the lecturn and in front of our vision tech desk but then realised we couldn't operate the remote from there to change presets etc. We remounted it effectively sideways (you can see that in the video and photos) which meant we still had the required movement yet could now control from the desk. The camera was so impressive for the price that we've since ordered a second one. Service and postage was super quick and efficient on both orders and would happily recommend to any other churches etc looking for a cheap but high quality camera.

I was pretty shocked at how heavy this camera is to be honest, I was expecting it to just be flimsy plastic but I was pleasantly surprised to see it had a bit of weight too it! It appears that it can be used in basic mode by just plugging it into your computer (depending on what version of Windows you're running) but if you want full functionality you'll have to download the software from the manufacturers website (ran through antivirus and malware, all good) although you can also just use the remote to control it if needed / wanted. The picture quality seems to be what it says it is, 1080p which was quite a surprise. The zoom seems to work as intended and as far as I can tell it's definitely optical as opposed to digital. It has a lot of different abilities built into it, such as panning, auto focus, tracking (which works very well may I add) and plenty of different ways to connect to your device, some of which I've never even heard of! One let down for me would be the lack of a microphone. I would say the whole purpose of having a conference meeting that requires a camera is because your having a netting over the internet or you want it recorded. Instead you'd have to opt to use your devices microphone, a third party microphone or even better, buy little wireless microphones that people can wear so they can be heard.

Easy to setup, connection is good, speaker is much better than expected. Exactly what I needed for my conference room setup.

Bought this product for church livestream - works perfectly, image quality is great and remote control works well, connected perfectly to ATEM switcher. After testing I realised that I needed multiple cameras and a joystick controller and therefore needed the LAN model. Tongveo support were superb in helping me replace this camera model with their LAN model and gave me advice on connecting to a controller.

I purchased a TONGVEO Conference Room PTZ Camera for my church. I bought it in November 2024. It gave excellent videos and all the church members were very happy it. The camera's video could no longer work after one month. The Amazon return policy had expired after one month. I contacted the customer service of the TONGVEO company directly. They responded and within one week I have been sent a new camera for my church. It was a challenge because it was not for my personal use but for the church. PROS -good quality 1080p signal -pretty wide lens (but with a 3X optical zoom, very useful for zooming in on a further-away speaker) -good auto-focus and tracking abilities (it tracks those who are at the whiteboard quite smoothly) -great array of connectivity options (I’m using with just USB) -lots of pan and tilt movement possible (we use it in a boardroom, so it rarely has to move very far) -well made -we have presets for the whiteboard and where people tend to sit -a very comprehensive remote (batteries not included) -decent value at £169.99 at the time of this review CONS -we avoid the digital zoom, there isn’t a lot of resolution to play with, and zooming in digitally isn’t worth it -no mic, you need to provide your own -no ethernet MY STAR RATINGS: 1* substandard, mostly cons 2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros 3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros 4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons 5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Tongveo were super-helpful to me when I contacted them with questions about focussing. Their customer service has been excellent and very encouraging. Good work. One thing I love about this camera is the richness of the colours. We were using a Canon DSLR before this for live-streaming and the colours are just as good, once you get the setting right for your room.

This camera rivals the more expensive ones that are similar to it. I’ve tested it throughly with MS Teams, Zoom and as just a webcam. It has a very smooth zoom, great picture quality and quickly finds faces in a meeting room. The footprint is average, about the size of the big vendor’s aging cameras I replaced. The remote works very well and has the controls clearly marked and is easy to use. I really don’t have any Cons on this unit and can highly recommend it for corporate conferencing needs. It may be less expensive but you’d never know it. I’ve evaluated several other cameras and complete platforms that are around the same price and some 10 times as much. I’d say that the more expensive platforms offer little more value. This one is also plug and play. There is virtually no setup. Within a minute of plugging it into a Windows workstation it was up and running without a reboot. Nice! It has many extra ports as well so it’s very expandable. I haven’t tried it with any control boards but it does support industry standard protocols so I would expect it to work well with them. Overall this is a 5 star unit and I’ll be buying more if available.

We’ve had this installed for 3 months in our church only to have it NOT work about every 3rd service. When it works it does a very good job with the visual imagery. But it’s not reliable enough for us to recommend this product to other churches.

The camera being usb made it easy to connect to the computer, but the usb connection seems to be the culprit for disconnecting from the livestreaming software. We used 2 or 3 different streaming applications on 2 different computers (the latter being a high-powered gaming laptop with high quality video card) and had the same issue. When we would change presets on the camera, the image on the computer would go black and never return. Sometimes it would work, but almost every Sunday, we would have to restart the streaming software at some point in order for the camera to reconnect. It took months to determine that it was the camera, so the return and support windows closed long before we knew. We've gone back to a different camera and it works flawlessly. NOT Recommended for livestreaming, but could be useful in other applications. Update 5/31: Company reached out and graciously offered replacement or refund even though the normal return/support window has long passed. Great customer service earns them the extra stars.

Given the price, this camera works well for our needs. We use it to record our church sermons. It is plugged directly into our macbook mini and add audio from our soundboard. Camera located in the back of the sanctuary about 50 ft from the pulpit. We use Quicktime to record. Picture quality is decent, not spectacular. Would recommend for those on a low budget wanting to add streaming/recording capabilities.

Purchased to upgrade our church live stream. The 20x optical zoom is great for close ups. We have a very large sanctuary and the sound booth is at the rear of the room. A pulpit close up is possible and the quality is outstanding. You can see the grain of the wood and pattern of the pew cushions! Only down side is it is an HDMI cam so no i.p. address to use with OBS on screen controls. You can program the remote with 10 presets so that helps.
