Worth THE PRICE for the quality and comfort
This has been one of my most favorite headsets hands down I use them for recording so I am all about the sound quality and the microphone quality these do not disappoint they're extremely comfortable even after long periods of time the sound is phenomenal they cuff over your ears so well that you can hardly hear anything outside of them and the quality of the stereo drivers are AHMAZING I am so impressed and pleased with these I've had them for MONTHS and never had an issue not one it has a copper aux which actually makes for a better sound quality as well less static and all around better connectivity

A (Really) Great Entry Level Wired Headset
For what it costs, I had relatively low expectations of this headset. I came from a Corsair Virtuoso SE wireless headset that had a great mic and very good sound, but the connection with my PS4 was never very solid and I would notice relatively frequent dropouts in audio. Friends with PS4s swore by using the 3.5mm jack on the controller and I decided to use this to test. Build Quality When you pick up the headset the first thing you notice is just how light it is. It feels somewhat solid, but also it's clear that this is not a headset that prioritized premium materials. It's also extremely comfortable because of how light it is. Although I've never had issues with heavier headsets and neck pain, if that is a consideration the light materials should be great for long term sessions. The pads are faux leather on the interior ring and exterior ring. The part that rests against your head feels like something a little more breathable. I don't think I will have any issues wearing these for long sessions. The clamping force is a good moderate level where they won't fall off accidentally, but I don't feel like I am in a death grip. Mic Quality I made some calls using the mic and, I believe this to be a great compliment to the quality of the mic, no one thought I was on a headset. "It's like you were actually talking through your phone." Although they have a gamer vibe, I could definitely see using these on conference calls (as long as the video was off.) Basically, the mic is great. Audio Quality Here's where I was expecting things to fall apart, but they really didn't. I decided to make a completely unfair comparison between these and my pair of Sennheiser HD600s run off of an AudioQuest DragonFly Black DAC/AMP. There was clearly no contest between the two headphones in terms of vocals or detail retrieval, but the Razer wasn't a bad headphone by any means. It had a clear and present bass, without being muddy. I do feel like the Corsair Virtuoso had a more full sound, but the spotty connection ruined it. Gaming tends to be, I think, more forgiving than listening to music ... so I ran through a couple of games as a test. I tried a game that I feel focuses on background music (Unravel), which sounded great. I also tried something with more exploding (Borderlands 3) and the headset felt equally competent. Flaws (But Not Deal Breakers) The volume knob goes the opposite of the way my mind treats every other volume knob in my life. Clockwise turns the sound down?! WHY?! I would have loved an LED to remind me that I'm muted. My first attempted call failed because the mute was engaged. Conclusion The Razer Blackshark V2 X might have a terrible name, but it's an amazing product at the price point. I don't play as many games online as I used to and I listen to a lot more music. For me, it makes sense to have a great pair of headphones for music and solo play as well as a cheap headset for online play with friends and conference calls. This works for me.

Clean upgrade in comfort and sound.
I switched to this headset for daily gaming and general computer use, and the first thing I noticed was how light it feels on the head. Even during long sessions, it does not create pressure points, and the memory foam cushions sit comfortably around the ears without squeezing too tightly. The fit feels secure but not restrictive, which makes it easy to forget I am even wearing it. Sound quality is clear and detailed, especially for gaming. The 50 millimeter drivers provide strong overall audio with good separation between effects, dialogue, and background sounds. Directional audio feels accurate enough for competitive play, and I can clearly pick up in game cues like footsteps and movement without needing to crank the volume too high. It performs consistently across different games and media. The microphone is surprisingly solid for a headset in this range. Voice chat comes through clearly and does not sound muffled, and people can hear me without needing to repeat myself. It is simple to use with no complicated setup, and it works right away once plugged in. I also like that it does not pick up a lot of background noise during normal use. Overall, it feels like a dependable headset that focuses on comfort and consistent performance. It is easy to wear for long periods, delivers reliable sound for gaming and media, and does exactly what I need without any extra complications.

Best bang for your buck.
4/5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The razer v2x is one of the best budget headsets on the market. Passive noise cancellation works really well, i cant hear the kids making noise in the background. The mic is so good that I actually turn down my mic sensitivity and I still come across loud and clear. My main headset volume setting on the console is set to 90% that way i never have to surpass 50% on the actual headset dial. 50% is plenty loud and clear. Ive even opened apple music on my console to listen to music, its not overly loud at 100% with no distortion, not an extreme amount of bass, just good enough. Balances well with the mids and highs. Great overall sound profile for under $60. And the ear cups are soft and comfortable, I can game for hours with zero discomfort and the breathable material doesn’t make your ears hot at all. The V2X is an amazing deal. Best bang for your buck hands down.

Review on this cute pink headset
I ordered both the Razer Blackshark V2 X Gaming headset and the Razer Kraken V3 X headset. Here are my thoughts on this one! You can go read my review on the other one on Amazon reviews. DURABILITY: These are very lightweight, more so than the other. The top headrest part is covered with a soft, thin leather-like material. From my experience with Razer headsets, I have a feeling this won't last too long and may start to flake/deteriorate. Other than aesthetics, though, it feels very durable. COMFORT: Hands down the most comfortable headset to wear for long periods of time. I'm a huge gamer and am on Discord voice calls a lot. The earmuffs sit nicely against your head and do not squish too much. I can wear these for long hours without any pain. AUDIO: It's not completely soundproof, but it does dampen most background sounds. I prefer being able to hear my surroundings, so this doesn't bother me. I prefer how these have a little knob for the volume control; it's much easier to find than a tiny swivel. One bad thing, when I listened to a recording, it would sometimes get picked up by the mic as if I was speaking, but I wasn't. The other one did it as well... MIC QUALITY: The mics are very similar with marginal differences. This one has a little muffler thing to help with gummy noises when you talk. I like the other mic a little bit better, but the difference is very minute. These pick up a bit more background humming if you have a fan or AC on. But again, it's a very slim difference. OVERALL: I ended up keeping these mainly due to comfort, since I plan on using them for long hours. I believe comfort is more important than mic quality, plus, these were cheaper. The other ones were really cute though...

Good upfront product
Pretty decent all around for the price. Mic is good and so is the sound quality, nothing outstanding or noise canceling but you know what you’re buying for sure. Its stayed in good condition for months ive had it.

A budget-friendly wired gaming headset often paired with Xbox consoles via the 3.5 mm audio jack. Razer BlackShark V2 X Xbox Gaming Headset — Honest Review I’ve been using the Razer BlackShark V2 X for a while now, and it’s one of those headsets that punches way above its weight for what you pay — especially if you’re gaming on Xbox or other consoles without wanting to spend a ton. First Impressions Right out of the box, this headset feels lightweight and comfy. The memory foam ear cushions are soft and breathable, which means marathon sessions don’t wear you down. It’s almost shockingly easy to wear for hours without the usual ear fatigue you get from heavier headsets. Sound Quality The audio on the BlackShark V2 X is solid for gaming. Thanks to its Razer TriForce 50 mm drivers, explosions, footsteps, and environmental cues all come through clearly — and the optional 7.1 virtual surround sound can make competitive shooters feel more immersive on PC. That said, it’s not perfect. Some folks experience inconsistent bass and midrange depending on fit, and the overall profile leans a bit dark and bass-heavy. If you’re super picky about audio accuracy, this won’t match higher-end headsets. Microphone & Chat The bendable HyperClear cardioid mic is decent at picking up your voice in most gaming environments — clear enough for team chat. However, a few users have reported mic performance that’s quieter than expected, especially on Xbox, where it sometimes doesn’t register well unless you’re very close to it. Build and Comfort Comfort is one of this headset’s strongest suits — it’s lightweight (~240 g) and has a stable, comfortable fit. But that lightweight build also means the plastic frame doesn’t feel super premium. Some users worry about long-term durability, and there are a few reports of parts showing wear over time with heavy use. Compatibility & Use Because this is a wired headset with a 3.5 mm jack, it’s plug-and-play with Xbox Series X|S controllers (and older Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, etc.), with no batteries or adapters to fuss with. Just keep in mind you won’t get the more advanced surround sound features on consoles like you do on Windows. Pros ✔ Excellent value for the price — great audio and comfort at a budget cost. ✔ Lightweight and comfortable for long sessions. ✔ Decent soundstage and clarity for gaming. ✔ Cross-platform wired compatibility (Xbox, PS, PC, Switch). ✔ Passive noise isolation helps you focus in games. --- Cons ✖ Mic quality can be inconsistent, especially on Xbox. ✖ Build feels a bit flimsy — not the most durable. ✖ Wired only — no wireless freedom. ✖ No advanced customization or software EQ on consoles. ✖ Surround sound features limited to Windows. Final Thoughts If you want a solid, affordable gaming headset that’ll work well enough with your Xbox, PC, or other systems — and you’re not chasing audiophile-level sound or premium build quality — the BlackShark V2 X is tough to beat at its price point. It’s comfortable, sounds good for games, and gets the job done without breaking the bank. Just temper expectations: the mic and build quality aren’t flagship-level, and if you want all-out best performance, you’ll eventually notice the differences compared to higher-tier gear.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible sound and comfort for Xbox—best budget gaming headset by far!
I bought this Razer BlackShark V2 X primarily to use with my Xbox Series X, and it has completely blown me away for the price. Even though the packaging highlights PlayStation compatibility, the 3.5mm jack means it plugs straight into the Xbox controller and works flawlessly. Here is why I think it’s a brilliant buy: Superb Sound Quality: The 50mm TriForce drivers deliver amazingly clear, detailed audio. In games, I can easily pinpoint the direction of footsteps and gunfire, giving a massive tactical advantage. The bass is punchy without drowning out the game chat. Lightweight & Marathon Comfort: At just 240g, this headset is incredibly light. Combined with the breathable memory foam ear cushions, I can play for hours at a time without feeling any fatigue or pressure around my ears. Excellent Mic Clarity: My friends on Xbox Party Chat noticed the difference immediately. The HyperClear cardioid mic picks up my voice perfectly clear and does a fantastic job of blocking out background household noise. Convenient On-Ear Controls: Having the volume control knob and mic mute button right there on the left earcup is so handy. It’s much faster than fumbling through the Xbox dashboard menus mid-game. Unbeatable Value: Razer has absolutely nailed the budget market with this one. You get the premium audio performance and build style of a high-end esports headset without the premium price tag. If you are looking for a reliable, ultra-comfortable wired headset for your Xbox setup, you really can't go wrong with this. Highly recommended!
