They work! Sharp! Just what they are supposed to be...
I was hoping that they would be good and I was not disappointed. I tried them all out! Every last one of them. They all performed outstandingly... I will admit I did have my doubts if they would be sharp but they are and that makes me happy with them. I got them specifically for tearing out embroidery boo-boos. I got one with some floss and it is as dull as it can be and was terrible trying to use it. It is going somewhere dark and lonely and being replaced by one of these..., hmm which color will it be?! that gets to work it's little blade to death... LOL I will also put at least one in my sewing kit too. You always need a seam ripper when you are sewing, it never fails. I am glad that I got them! They were worth the price. I also got them so that I can share them with some little cousins that I plan on teaching to embroider. I will let them pick out their own color. If I am going to get them started, then they need to have something that is going to work! Oh and for all those wherever the reviews were, that complained because they could hardly hold on to them?! That would be the little ones, well try putting the cap on the bottom that makes it much easier to use. In some of the reviews, I don't think some of the people actually know how to use them, which puzzles me..., why buy something you don't know how to use or what they are for. There were a few reviews, men I think they must be, had very inventive uses for them. I will not tell my dad. I don't think I want to share with him... LOL They were a great value, are easy to use and either left or right handed people can use them. Worth the price! You can't be disappointed with that! I recommend them.

I recommend it
The price was inexpensive and the product works. I had previously bought a similar looking product from a competing manufacturer, and returned it when I found it unsatisfactory. This set is better. I like being able to have two stitch rippers in different places im the house, in case one of them can’t be found. One thing I will say is that these large and small stitch rippers could be even better if you could attach the caps / covers onto the back of the handle while you use them. Only the small ones have caps that fit onto the back of the handle — and those caps won’t stay on there. The caps would make the short handles longer and easier to control. And it would make the cap harder to lose. There are probably other stitch rippers out there that are better — with a sharper blade, a thinner point, a longer handle, a way to store the cap while in use. But those better stitch rippers are going to be more expensive... and they probably won’t come in a convenient 8-pack so that you can keep multiple ones around the house.

Good enough
These are good enough. I was willing to spend much more for a high quality carbon steel needle point razor sharp seam ripper. But I guess they don't make those. So instead, I bought these and they are perfectly acceptable. The small ones are pointy enough to get into fine stitches, and the larger ones work well for larger stitches. The cutting portion is sharp enough to part thread, although it doesn't even look to me like the metallic portion is made of metal... but who cares--they just work. And they are very inexpensive so that's a plus. If some US manufacturer ever makes the high quality one, I'll buy it. But until then, these should get the job done till they break. I will note that on one of the large rippers, some of the plastic from the hook tip apparently got dripped onto the cutter. I plan to just take a needle file to that edge to clean it up. I guess then I'll find out if it's real metal and whether it can be sharpened. I will forget to update this review, though.

Great value
I only needed 1 but for the cost to value, I ended up with 8 and in 2 different sizes. The work great to cut threads and separate seams. They are not ergonomic but I’m not using them heavily. If you need to use them for hours on end you may consider something more dialed in. They are sharp and the 2 sizes actually is nicer to have than I thought - I use the small one for labels and the large for clothing items.

They work as intended
I love these. They’re cheap and they work. There’s not much to them so there really isn’t anything to break. I’m sure they’ll go dull at some point but it really doesn’t matter. They’re perfect for cutting those tiny disposable plastic hair ties out of my daughters’ hair. They’re tiny and easy to stash in your purse too.
