Less water is more
Perfect for โpointingโ in missing mortar in your fireplace. It drys fast so will not want to mix the entire bucket at one time. I used disposable solo cups to mix a little at a time - less water than you think you need. After pointing it in, sprinkle some ashes in the surface and it will totally blend in to your old mortar.

3 pounds, 4 ounces of water
if you think you need one, you'd better order 3. With ciment, like chocolate, there's never enough. It's a fine powder, easy for moulding.
