Phone case review I love this case. I had tried 3-4 different cases on my iPhone 15 Pro before trying this one, and this one was the winner by FAR! I loved how strong the magnetic connection is on the back. I’m able to put it in some very convenient places because of it; ESPECIALLY when I’m at work. The ability to use the piece on the back for extra grip, or as a kickstand is a feature that I use CONSTANTLY. It offers great protection, as I’ve dropped my phone a number of times with no damage at all. The buttons all remain very “clicky” which is a MUST for me. I can’t stand “mushy” buttons lol. I love the design and feel, and the kickstand is incredibly useful. I have ordered my second one of these cases because the kickstand part on my first one, the spring part broke. I got about 2 years out of it with HEAVY use. I use the kickstand feature all the time for what it is meant to be used for, and I also fidget with it constantly by holding onto it, and spinning my phone around, or repeatedly pulling the kickstand out and letting it snap back into place. So the fact it lasted as long as it did, I definitely got my moneys worth! The feel of the case is nice in my opinion, and the texture on the sides helps add additional grip. For the case having the whole kickstand feature, the fact that it remains sleek, and compact while still providing great levels of protection is impressive. I highly recommend this case, especially at this price point!

This case starts great—the ring stand is the best part. It has a satisfying click as you turn the ring into any angle you need and there’s enough friction to position as needed to stand up the phone. Case is sleek with good grip. Within one month of regular use, the ring lost that friction and became floppy. When I looked at the base of the ring to see what was going on, the ring lifted right off (see picture). I had not dropped it nor did I tug excessively or over extend the ring. It simply detached from the case. I wrote to Anker and they sent me a replacement. Awesome. I am even more careful with this replacement. 10 days into using the second one: while I am flipping the ring open to slip my fingers in for a better grip, the ring makes a delicate snap and the friction to keep the ring in a specific position is gone. Floppy ring again. Unbelievable. I hate to write a bad review. The first time this happened I chalked it up to one bad case. But to have it happen again so quickly suggests something is wrong the design. Whatever is creating that friction where the ring attaches to the case breaks with regular use. The ring is still attached to the case this time but with the loss of friction renders the ring unusable as a kickstand. My hunt continues for a slim protective case with built in ring stand.

I almost fell in love with this phone case! Always loved Anker products have many different products from them. The design is fantastic, and it provides excellent protection. The stronger MagSafe magnets are a great feature, allowing me to stick my phone to the fridge or any metal surface while my hands are busy. The built-in stand ring is very practical and adds extra functionality. However, the stand ring’s mechanism isn’t very sturdy or durable. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of use, it broke, and now the ring has fallen off. This is disappointing because I can no longer use the MagSafe or the stand feature. Now, it’s just a regular case.

This is tough one for me to write. Im a huge Anker evangelist, and was delighted when I saw their recent foray into the phone case world. At 30ish dollars, it wasnt crazy expensive and with it being a trusted Anker product, I was willing to pay a bit more than normal for a phone case. Upon arrival it was everything you could hope for, sturdy and well built with quality materials. The metal ring (Handle/Stand) moves around 360 degrees and even makes an amazing clicky sound to the point where this thing can double as a fidget toy to help destress while simultaneously driving your significant other crazy. The handle/stand fits flush against the case allowing you easily connect all manner of magsafe accessories and chargers with ease and security. So whats not to love? Well for some inexpicable reason, whenever you use the wireless charging feature with this case on for any amount of time more than 3-5 minutes, the metal ring gets ridiculously hot. Like so hot to the point where id almost dropped my phone when taking it off the charger due to being startled by the heat. I thought this was maybe some weird charging thing with my Teslas built in wireless charging thingamawhatzit but it does this with all other wireless charging situations ive tried; almost all of which are other Anker products. It makes me wonder how this thing got through like 3 boardroom meetings 7 power points and probably like 7-8 hundred emails, and nobody said like "Hey Ryan, this thing gets super hot, is that normal?". It gives me pause for future Anker purchases because what other kind of glaring issues might there be in their more complex proucts? TL;DR Literally perfect, expect it gets violently hot when wirelessly charging to the point where it stops charging the phone. Which is a big issue. Especially for a company where charging phones is like 97% of their business model.
