I really appreciate this book in that it give anyone who is interested in this subject the matter the information to get them started in doing their own scripting. I love the workflow of the book. I am just digging in with cgwin, and my kali vm. It's a fun book for the enthusiast. Love the backup material that is included. Solid purchase! Thanks!

I've utilized BASH scripting for my research, analysis, and testing for nearly a decade, but my knowledge of the BASH terminal was incomplete. Blackhat BASH provides a thorough rundown of the basic fundamentals and then delves into some more advanced topics as the book progresses. This book has helped me to feel considerably more confident with my BASH scripting and has given me TONS of new tricks and techniques to implement into my research, development, and testing. This goes pretty far into bash and it's nice that it sets up a great environment, to save people any issues I would recommend setting up a 80GB VM storage drive in the Kali-linux to avoid any issues when you start to install the containers.

I was looking for a good book for getting starred on bash, preferably geared towards cybersecurity. Lucky day, this was on the verge of being released when I was looking. This book is beautifully and thoughtfully written/designed. The inclusion of building a testing environment is amazing. The book feels awesome, holds awesome content, and is beautifully presented.
