Came ready charged. Found it easy to set. Very pleased with the purchase.

We have a massive problem in my house where sometimes the children forget to switch there lamps off by the sockets so we ordered these timers. So you get two digital timers each with a digital display and eight buttons to press with different options on the m. Festival you follow the instructions to set the clock, this is a very simple process. I then followed the instructions to set one timer up, on each plug you can set up to 10 timer options. This was a little bit more difficult I set all the options as the instructions that then I could still not get it to work, I had to fiddle around with some of the buttons myself until I could get the automatic timer to actually work. Once I did the time of function worked absolutely perfectly so I can now charge my battery's between the hours of 12 o'clock at night and six o'clock in the morning. I would give these five stars but it did take me a little bit of fiddling around to actually get them to work as the instructions were okay but left a little bit to be desired. Overall though I can recommend these automatic timer plug sockets.

That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.] I requested the ‘ TobeBright Digital Timer Plug Socket UK, 24 Hour/Weekly Digital Plug-in Timer Socket’ X 2, for a couple of reasons. The first being to charge batteries at night as we have Economy 7 and also to use for lamps, as security, when we go away on holiday. The Timer plug sockets are really neat. They don’t make a sound unlike the clock and pin timers of old. They have a built-in rechargeable battery, so if there is a power cut, it won’t mess up your settings. The instruction leaflet is basic and it would be nice if there was an option to buy just one. I think they are fair value at £18.99 at the time of this review. The instructions could be better but the pair work well for my intended purposes, so 4 stars

These are excellent – much better than the old style dial ones I've had before and no requirement to hook them up to Wi-Fi or use your phone like the so called smart plugs. There are two in the pack and come in a plain white cardboard box along with the instructions for use. Each socket can be programmed with up to 10 different on/off times – just follow the instructions which are pretty clear, but there's a lot of button pushing. If you're the type who struggled to program the video back in the day you're going to need to persevere. You can turn the socket on and off manually when required. One nice feature for when you're using them to come on when you're away is the random function. This takes the on time you have set and adds a random delay of up to 20 minutes so that potential burglars will see things coming on at different times rather than at the same time every day making it obvious that they're timed. Each unit has a battery backup for your settings too. Handy if there's a power cut or you want to move the socket without losing your times. It's a nice bit of kit and works very well. Currently a smidgeon under £17 I think they're really good value.
