Happy with it, family even happier!
I waited a long time before writing this review because I wanted to make sure I could say something beyond the honeymoon stage. Now I'm finally ready to do so. This machine has turned out to be a blessing. Sure, it has its quirks like any other automatic appliance. For instance, the suction cups that should secure it to a counter surface aren't that strong (more on that later), but at least it does what it offers. Now, I need to inform you that while the basic white bread process renders the most delicious bread on earth, the whole wheat was a disaster. I will take responsibility for it, because machines aren't smart enough to fail on their own. I liked that I can add stuff or replace it and the machine keeps on going (I learned to use oil instead of butter, real milk instead of powdered milk, and to add raisins or cranberries to my white bread). Good things: timer reliability, very good dough kneading, crust baking, ease to prepare bread and to remove loaf at the end. Not too satisfactory (but then, this may be because of other factors): whole wheat bread was a disaster, and so was trying to make a baguette dough. It just didn't rise, but I'm taking responsibility because I must have made a mistake. Now, the funny story (back to the suction cups): I got used to set up the machine at 10 or 11 o'clock the night before to wake up to freshly baked bread. This machine is good at it. However, when it's in the kneading cycle it almost dances... and the last time I left it to work overnight, it danced... and fell to the floor. Disaster: the dough was on the floor (salvageable), and the machine lost its lid (broken hinge). Here's the nice part: I contacted the manufacturer. They requested that I sent them a photo of the damaged machine. I did, and their reply was to offer me a new one, free of charge, as a courtesy—yet, with the severe admonition that I should never leave the machine unattended. Why make it programmable then? In any case, if the machine performance was quite satisfactory and the bread was loved by my whole family, now I can add a word about Cuisinart: they really stand by their product. The machine was so tough that even with a broken hinge it still made good bread! Needless to say, I'm continuing using this machine and can recommend it because of its ease of use, bread quality (at least the white bread) and good results.

I Love This!
This is a phenomenal bread, machine! It makes great sourdough bread, and many other types of breads. I hear from ‘experts’ that this is the bread machine to purchase for consistent high-quality bread. There is only one problem with it; it has a computerized screen that is super sensitive. It is much more sensitive than touching your cell phone. So after you program the bread on the right cycle (sourdough…), the weight/size loaf, the right color, then walk away and don’t go near it again. Because if you hit it somewhere midway, you might be throwing out that loaf…. But that’s really the only problem with it. So I consider this phenomenal. You might read that some people have a problem with getting the stirring rod out, after the bread is done. As sometimes it feels stuck. They do provide a hook to try to remove it with. Helpful hint that works every time: I put olive oil into a dropper. Then before I’m going to use the bread machine, I will grease the hole of the stirring rod in the post where the stirring rod will sit with olive oil, making sure that that inner diameter if you will is totally coated, and that the base where the stirring rod is going to sit is totally coated. Then when your bread is done, the stirring rod should come off fairly easy, if it doesn’t, you just put the whole pan in stirring rod into some warm soapy, water, and let it soak, and it will come up. Now, very important: get one of those little brushes that you use for the stainless steel straws and clean the inside of the stirring rod hole, and the pole that it sits on. Make sure that pole that it sits on is smooth. I found that the bread recipes in the book might not have been as good as some that I found on YouTube; for me, it’s trial and error, as factors like, how old my sourdough starter is will dictate how much wheat gluten and active yeast I’m using. I believe they’re 17 different bread settings, and one of them is totally variable meaning you get to plug-in your times that you want. Which now makes it totally customizable as far as what you can do with this bread machine. There is a time delay on it; in case you wanna wake up to fresh bread. And as soon as your bread is done, it will swap over to a warm cycle that will last an hour. Cleaning it has been a piece of cake. Sorry this was so long, but this has been the greatest most exciting thing I’ve had in my kitchen in decades. I actually hate cooking. But this bread machine has actually been very fun.

Works well, but not the first to open
I reviewed an item that was clearly returned by someone else, the product box was damaged and disheveled. The breadmaker has a scratch down the front. I wanted to exchange it for a new one since I paid for a new product, but this was not an option. Other than this, machine works well. Easy to use. Makes noise but not more than expected.

Wonderful! simple to use, great results every time!
we stocked up a lot on staples due to the pandemic. granted we do a lot of baking in our household but with so much flour and cornmeal i did not want any of it to go to waste. problem is time, baking from scratch takes time and right now we haven't a lot of that to spare. so i searched, read up and bought this our first bread maker. to start with this doesn't just make bread. cakes, rolls, jelly, etc. the machine looks nice is pretty compact with only two parts, the pan and the mixing tine. the instructions are well written and easy to understand. even if you lose them printed on the machine is the information you need for selecting the proper mode. to use it, it is this simple. just dump your ingredients into the pan. drop the pan into the bread maker. press the first button for what you plan to make, there are 14 choices. if making bread then next choose if you want a light, medium or dark colored crust. if not making bread then you just press the start button. if making a larger bread recipe e.g.2lbs then you press the size button for that otherwise that's all there is to it. once started it mixes everything, no need to let anything rise etc. once it is time it then bakes the contents. you can remove the mixing tine before baking starts but honestly it is far easier and less messy to pull it out of whatever it is you have baked once done. that said no matter what you are baking when done removing the contents is very easy. the coating used on the pan means when you turn it upside down the contents just slide on out. then as said remove the tine, remember it is hot! a nice part is that there is a power safety. in the event the machine loses electricity/power it remembers what it was doing for up to 15 minutes so it can start back up where it was when the power went out. clean up is virtually nil. if doing a larger bread batch 2lbs sometimes it will rise up and just touch the inside of the glass viewing window. then you'll need to wipe that part down. but otherwise the only parts you need clean are the pan and tine. i have nothing negative whatsoever to say about this machine. i could not be happier with every aspect of this bread maker. well made, well priced, simple to use, little to clean up and never a bad result! I really like this and if i could give it six stars i would. i can recommend this to anyone thinking of doing more cooking at home or who just likes fresh food.

You will become a bread maker!
I recently purchased the Cuisinart Bread Maker Machine, and I can honestly say it has been an absolute game-changer in my kitchen! As someone who loves fresh, homemade bread but has limited time and experience in baking, this machine has exceeded all of my expectations. Ease of Use First and foremost, the Cuisinart Bread Maker is incredibly easy to use. The control panel is intuitive, featuring a clear LCD screen and simple buttons to select various settings. The machine offers 12 pre-programmed menu options for everything from basic bread to whole wheat, gluten-free, and even jam. The instructions that come with the machine are straightforward, making it very beginner-friendly. Quality of Bread The quality of the bread it produces is absolutely superb. I’ve tried making several types, including whole wheat, French, and even a simple white loaf. Each time, the bread comes out with a perfectly golden-brown crust and a soft, fluffy interior. The even rise is always consistent, and I love the smell of freshly baked bread wafting through my kitchen. The dough setting works beautifully as well, allowing me to shape the dough by hand if I want to get a little creative with loaves or rolls. Custom Settings One of the standout features for me is the customizable settings. The Cuisinart Bread Maker allows you to adjust the crust color (light, medium, or dark) and size of your loaf (1, 1.5, or 2 pounds), which means you can personalize every bake to your liking. The machine also has a rapid bake setting, which allows you to prepare a loaf in a fraction of the time, and a delay timer that can be set up to 13 hours in advance. This is especially convenient if you want the bread ready when you wake up or come home from work. Build and Design The machine itself is well-built and sleek. Its modern design fits well with most kitchen decors, and its stainless steel exterior is both attractive and easy to clean. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the machine operates; even during the kneading phase, it doesn't make much noise at all, which is a relief compared to other bread makers I’ve seen. Additionally, the non-stick bread pan and kneading blade make clean-up a breeze. Additional Features Another wonderful feature is the viewing window that lets you monitor the baking process. I love being able to peek in and see how the dough is progressing without having to open the lid, which could disrupt the baking process. The ingredient dispenser is another thoughtful touch. It automatically adds things like nuts, seeds, or fruit at the right moment during the kneading cycle, ensuring they are incorporated without overmixing. Versatility I’ve also explored using this machine for non-bread items, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well it handles jam-making. The machine comes with a jam program that makes delicious, homemade jam with minimal effort. I’ve experimented with strawberry and blueberry jam so far, and both turned out wonderfully, smooth, and perfect for spreading on my fresh loaves. Final Thoughts All in all, the Cuisinart Bread Maker Machine has made baking bread at home incredibly easy, fun, and rewarding. It offers fantastic features, a wide range of customizable options, and, most importantly, produces top-notch bread. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced baker, this machine will help you create consistently delicious bread every time. Highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys homemade bread and wants a reliable, user-friendly machine to make the process as enjoyable as the results!

Great bread machine with some new nice features
I saw some of the low feedback and was nervous about getting this bread machine to replace my previous one. I understand that when multiple versions are listed on the same listing, the reviews are all jumbled together and also the reviews are jumbled together for sellers other than direct from Amazon or the manufacturer. I bought the compact version directly from Amazon/the manufacturer. My product was brand new (never used) in the original box and a matching shipping box. Ok, I’ve made bread dough in the bread machine and now I’ve made bread in the bread machine and it looks like a keeper! Something interesting about this machine compared to my last machine is it is smaller, but still makes the same size loaf! Also it has an alert tone for the end of the kneading cycle so you can check that it made a good dough ball after kneading. Meaning if the dough ball is too wet, you can add more flour and run it again. It also has an alert tone at the end of the third rise so you have an opportunity to remove the dough and remove the paddle before the baking cycle for a prettier loaf (and easier removal of the paddle). The only thing I think might be a concern is how loud the alerts are and there is no way to turn off the alerts. Not a problem if you aren’t worried about waking anyone…

Avoid at all cost!!! Terrible!
I am beyond disappointed in this bread maker. In fact, I am downright angry about it. For 18 years, my Panasonic bread maker produced delicious loaves of bread of every type - hundreds of loaves. But one day it finally ran out of life, and I was terribly sad to learn that Panasonic bread makers were no longer available. Oh, well - time for a new one. Enter this Cuisinart. I had high hopes, having read so many good reviews here on Amazon and knowing the reputation of the Cuisinart name. Unfortunately, I failed to read the bad reviews - many of them written in recent months. The first thing I noticed upon opening the box was how small and lightweight the machine was. I soon discovered that one reason for the light weight was that the loaf pan was extremely thin and light, weighing probably a third of what my Panasonic weighed. As I prepared my first recipe, I wondered how that very thin pan would affect the baking process. I was soon to find out… I carefully read the instruction manual and then filled the pan with my favorite wheat bread ingredients and then chose the correct settings. Immediately, the machine to mix the dough. But… although the paddle spun the ingredients around but it was obvious that the mixture wasn’t being kneaded properly. I thought that perhaps as the program continued its steps, the kneading would get better. It didn’t. The bread was poorly mixed, rose very little, and ended up baking into a dense, dry brick. The next day I proofed a tablespoon of my yeast to make sure it was good (it was), so I went ahead and prepared another recipe and placed it in the machine. I watched the machine “mix” the dough, but it barely even mixed the ingredients together before it began to simply spin the dough around without any kneading whatsoever. I let the machine play out its program, though, because what good is a machine that you have to help do its job? Once again, it produced an inedible loaf of “bread” (more like a brick than a bread, though). The two loaves of “bread” produced by this machine weighed 1.25 pounds and measured 4.5” x 4.5” x 4.5”. That’s right - a 4.5” cube for a 1.5 pound loaf of “bread.” I immediately returned the machine for a refund, and I thank Amazon for making returns like these an easy process. I will think twice before ever purchasing anything produced by Cuisinart again. And I’ll be searching for a Panasonic bread maker in my local thrift stores. If you’ve read this far and are still considering this machine, let me throw out a couple of thoughts. First - the sides of the loaf pan are coated with some sort of nonstick coating that is SO slick that I wonder whether that causes a problem for the dough during the rising stage. I cannot imagine how the dough can rise and STAY inflated with that incredibly slick surface. Second - there is no heating of the chamber during the rising stage. My old Panasonic was so heavy and well-insulated that room temperature would not really affect it very much. The heat created by the mixing process itself was sufficient to keep the dough at a good temperature, so even in our air conditioned home, the dough rose perfectly. Third - because the loaf pan is extremely thin and lightweight, heat from the baking process might need to be lower than that of my old machine. This is just a guess, but it seems like that would make sense. If so, this might affect the final result. At any rate, it was incredibly disappointing. Never again, Cuisinart. You have lost a customer.

I love my breadmaker
This is definitely worth the money. This little machine makes amazing bread because I can't. I've had it for months now before doing a review because I wanted to really give an honest opinion about it. It's compact. Easy to clean and store. Doesn't take up much room on the counter. it's a little on the noisey side but I sill love it. It's easy to use. As long as you use quality ingredients you will always have great bread/ dough. I would definitely pass on the recipes that are included with it. Just go to Pinterest or any other site for bread maker recipes.

The best bread maker machine!
Bought this machine after use of two other brands over past 10 years. I love this one. Every recipy turns out great - the regular one I use for bread, the few from the book that comes with the machine. I tried many of them so far and happy with the outcome. I love the fact that it allows you to remove the blade and bake the bread without it. It’s easy to cut the bread afterwards, as there is no hole on a bottom, which was usual case with other machines I had. I like the look of it, the quality, the bread it makes and the price. Highly recommended!
