Best Purchase so far
This EGO POWER+ lawn mower is a beast! The 22” aluminum deck feels super durable, and the self-propelled feature makes mowing effortless. It’s powerful, cuts smoothly, and handles thick grass with ease. Cordless convenience with top performance,Highly impressed!

Quality product
Quiet, powerful and efficient mower. Easy to operate and maneuver.

Too heavy to safely maneuver.
This mower is way too heavy and cumbersome to safely operate in the real world with uneven yards, obstacles, and constant turns. At time of purchase the weight was not clearly noted in product specs. I would not have purchased this if the full weight of the mower was transparently published (the thing was delivered on it's own pallet with the delivery guy scraping it along the driveway). I cannot in good conscience burden anyone in my family with trying to use this beast. Activating the self-propel motor emits an unbearable whine. The regular operation (without self-propel) is already too loud on its own and it sounds like the self-propel motors are working quite hard to move the mower forward. Not the experience you want if you intend to mow early morning or late at night. Your neighbors will not be happy with you. Amazon customer service taking quite a bit of time to answer the phone to process the return (within 30 days of delivery). Apparently they think if they keep me on hold long enough the return opportunity will time out, but seems like this might go through after all... will have to update you later.

Love this, my third Ego lawnmower
This is my third mower from Ego. First one was back in 2019 and I got it when I wanted to replace a gas mower. I already had some of the other things so I had batteries to go with it. That first one was not self propelled but worked well enough that when my son was old enough to start cutting, I got myself a second one a few years later, the 21" self propelled one. Son has since graduated and moved out, and I would flip between the two mowers since I don't usually use the self propelled feature, just to extend battery life. But I wanted more torque for times when the grass is thicker from a lot of rain, and this one had half again as much torque as either of the other two. So the 1 star reviews. One complained about the unbearable whine when the self-propel feature is used, when the lawnmower is already far too loud. As I said, is my third Ego mower, second self propelled, first metal deck. Lawnmower is no louder than any of the other ones, still far quieter than gas powered ones. And the self propelled sound I can barely hear at all when the mower is going. About as bad as someone with an RC car playing on the street. Another complained about battery not lasting for a .3 acre yard. Battery life is very clearly listed. And depends as well on how thick the grass is, and how low you cut. My battery goes low far faster when I'm cutting down close to the soil. Takes more power in that case. My quarter acre yard takes me about 30 - 40 minutes since I'm a disabled vet and have mobility issues. I cut VERY LOW, and where my 21" self propelled LM2135SP would seriously bog down, then rev itself up much higher to compensate (and eat battery much faster), this one just ran normally, not noticing anything different. That's why I wanted this one, the higher torque. In the course of my 30 to 40 minutes of cutting today, I still have 2 lights lit, so it used somewhere between 40 and 60 percent of the battery with the blade set to normal, but having to work a bit harder with the thicker grass in back. My 7.5 AH battery with my older less powerful self-propelled sometimes would last, sometimes would not. Fortunately I have a lot of Ego tools and now have 12 batteries to choose from, so it never concerned me. But the fact that this one went 30 to 40 minutes and still has more than 40% of the battery left shows that the estimated battery life of about 70 minutes seems pretty spot on. Weight - yep, it's heavy. About half again as heavy as my previous self propelled. Someone complained that the weight wasn't listed clearly. But it did clearly list the shipping weight of 133 lbs. And if weight is that critical, 30 seconds with a web search gives the link to their product page and the manual, which lists it at 83.8 lbs without battery. My whole reason for this was the higher torque. That I hoped would let me cut easier if things were a bit thicker as it sometimes gets when we get a lot of rain and I can't cut when I normally would, so it grows a bit more. Never even had to put the blade speed to turbo. And this never made the bogged down sound the other two (one self propelled, one not) would make in some of the spots in my back yard where it gets thicker. Just went on like there was nothing to worry about. On my previous self-propelled model, I almost never used that feature since I liked the exercise of cutting the grass. But it annoyed me because sometimes even with the knob set to OFF and NOT touching the switches to engage it, the wheels would lock up. I'd have to push forward and back a little to get them to free wheel again and let me continue. At least so far this one has not done that. But with the weight, I did use the self-propelled feature in about a third of the back yard where it slopes some, coming up. Since this IS heavier than my other ones (about half again as heavy) it can be an issue to be aware of if you're like me and like to just push sometimes. But the grass looked great. I did what many recommended and left the front wheels one notch lower than the rear. I mulch, I never bag or discharge, and other than some of the common clumping I get when I hit those thicker areas because I keep the deck low, everything was flawless. Even in those spots, the grass was cut cleanly. Just that in some areas with the deck low it doesn't have enough clearance to do a good spread of the mulched leftovers. Cleaning as always is simple, since I love how these just fold up and sit upright to take less space when I have them stored in my garage. I use a little brush to get the stuff off of the underside of the deck afterwards so it doesn't build up and impair performance. Battery is a beast compared to my others. My previous mower came with a 7.5 AH battery, all the rest are 6.0 or less. I'm glad the battery is a different color since it makes it so much easier to spot in my battery lineup. Charger is one of the better ones, not the lesser ones you get with things like the power washer or shop vac. Mowing is comfortable for the hands, there are no spots that dig in or cause discomfort. I wish the deck adjustment was as easy as the plastic deck ones are, with the single quick handle, but while it takes a two moves to adjust the deck, it wasn't onerous. But I have to be aware of the weight since once those tabs come out of the retention points, it wants to lower itself with that extra weight. Have not tried the bluetooth connection. For me it seems like a useless gadget, what is it going to tell me that I don't already know? I hesitated with the price, but since it was on sale and came with a second battery (albeit just a 5.0AH) I figured I'd try it out. And I'm very glad I did. This will be a great addition to my Ego tools...

Great mower! My purchase came with 2 batteries.
This is my second EGO mower. I purchased my first mower in 2016 and it is still going strong, however, the old battery is wearing out. I was wanting to replace the old 5 ah battery with a new 10ah, but they cost $550 just for a battery! I came across this deal for the new EGO mower, plus two batteries a 5ah and a 10ah! It’s like buying two batteries and getting a new mower! The new EGO is the same size, 21”, is self-propelled, has Bluetooth, and an aluminum deck. There are 2 things that I don’t like. 1) it is heavier than my first composite deck mower, and 2) the self-propel buttons are on the handle where you can inadvertently activate it when you don’t want to. Also, Bluetooth? Really? You can activate turbo mode with your phone, or just push the turbo button on the mower. Great mower, great power (never used the turbo mode yet), and I still have the 10 year old EGO mower!

Very good mower
Works great and give me about an hour of mow time. Only slightly annoying thing, is when it is mulched it can leave striped of the grass along the wheel path. I would buy again.

Love my new EGO !
I received my LM2206 SP yesterday morning. I unpackaged it and had it ready to mow in about 15 minutes. It took about 5 minutes to figure out how to run it. Very simple. Battery took a couple hours for initial charge and I was mowing by afternoon. Wow !!! It didn’t take long fall in love 🥰 The power of the mowing deck and self propelling system is awesome. I have a very hilly property with about an acre of mowable lawn. This thing went through it like butter. I used the turbo setting for some taller thicker areas and it blew through them leaving a smooth clean cut lawn. The single charge completed my whole lawn in about an hour. With a little battery left to propel itself back up from the bottom of a big hill. The ease of use and minimal maintenance this should need is a game changer for me with the amount of time I will save. I am looking forward to years of happy healthy mowing with my new EGO !

3 yr old EGO; love it!
We have had the 22 in mower for 3 yrs and we love it. No problems so far. We live on 1.5 acres and I was just using it for edging around the house, trees, etc., so my husband did need to mow too close with thr John Deere x390. This week we used it to mow the entire lawn because we are waiting on the new John Deere x590. The x390 is just not robust enough on our large lawn. The EGO performed wonderfully. My husband really likes it, too.
