3-Pack 1/2 Inch Drip Irrigation Tubing to Faucet/Garden Hose Adapter - Reusable Connector Fittings for Most Rain Bird, Orbit, Dig, Toro 1/2 or 5/8 Tubing x 3/4" FHT

This drip irrigation part is alternative to the kits and brand sold at Lowe’s and it’s a fraction of Lowe’s pricing. We started with the Lowe’s kit and after deciding to convert our 30’x120’ garden to drip to provide better irrigation and save water, we needed a more affordable solution. We bought 1/4” and 1/2” tubing on Amazon, drippers, and all the 1/4” & 1/2” couplings and fittings. We installed 300 drippers on 6 zones in the garden. 100 drippers on 2 zones in the front landscaping. The 1/4” polyethylene line on Amazon is a little tougher to slide over fittings, but 3 seconds under a heat gun it slides over easily (don’t go more than 3 sec). 50 drippers is about the max that can function on a traditional garden hose bib. We run each zone for about 30 min daily here in Florida (we haven’t had rain in a while and soil drains quickly). We were running sprinklers for much longer and the plants still weren’t getting enough water. A few days on drippers was quite a noticeable difference. Buying all the parts on Amazon saved us 1/2 or more on the project.

These worked surprisingly well. Very easy to attach hose and lock down. Will see how the plastic holds up in the sun, but otherwise the prior ratings seem accurate.

Works great. Easy to install the 1/2" tubing. Be careful to get the right size tubing to fit the adapter.

When attaching this, be sure that both pieces are screwed together THEN attach your irrigation line THEN back off the two pieces by unscrewing them. Sounds totally ridiculous but that’s how it work. Save yourself a divorce and Review the instructions on the product description which explains this. Hope you have a happy marriage long after this project ;)

Was very worried reading the reviews after I purchased. Installed all 3 in my drip system pretty easily with no compatibility issues or leaks. Hopefully they last. Appear to be well made, and price was what I was looking for.

Might be s GREAT PRODUCT, but written installation diagram is not clearly described. MUST WATCH THE VIDEO! This product did not work for standard Rain-Drip 1/2 inch brown coated tubing. The black Plastic Nut could not be screwed on as the ID does not clear the Plastic Hose. I had to use metal clamp shown in the photo. Note the tubing does meet the allowed specifications for ID & thickness.

The principle behind this item is solid. However, I found it impossible to screw the cap on fully which does cause some issue. I would recommend you make sure your hose is cut almost perfect and pushed all the way to the stop. I was not able to screw any of the 9 adapters fully. If you try to much, you will only end up popping it back out and having only to tight to a small point. I think it is a manufacturing issue with the inside screw stop hitting before it is fully engaged. The cap would need to be longer to support full screw cork tightening. Connectivity is an issue. Looks great but not sure how this will hold up with durability not being fully closed. Some leaking may be need to be treated and plumber tape is a must.
