YETI Roadie 24 Cooler

Perfect if you’re working outside to take with you to work for lunch and extra drinks ice last about a week depending on how often you open it I only use this for work or the beach. The ice will last all day and then some.

I love all my Yeti products. Maybe call me a Yeti Junkie! So it’s pretty simple. Buy a Yeti, fill it with about 15-20 lbs of ice. Close and latch the cooler, dump ice out and put cans bottles and things that can get WET into the cooler, put ice in and top it with ice packs. Stuff you can’t get wet buy an accessory that separates them. Stop complaining about the handle. Maybe Yeti should say it’s to move it but not to carry it long distance. They have molded handles built into the sides to carry. That definitely should be more clear. Yeti gets a lot of criticism because of a strap not really made to carry. They should focus on the fact the weight is too much to pretend it a strap to go on an adventure. But, logic sometimes doesn’t show in reviews. Liquid weighs a lot so why are you not using the molded handles? I get it. Open your hatch, reach in and grab the strap, drag it to edge of hatch, grab molded handles and put on the ground. This is not a cooler for portability. Trust me, Yeti makes bags backpacks etc so I don’t get the need to move this far.

Pre-cooled the item the evening prior as directed then filled with ice at 330am. Loaded it with frozen and some non frozen items. Spent the night at a hotel then arrived at our destination at 715pm the next day. Cooler was in the bed of our truck and both days were over 95 degrees.

The media could not be loaded. The ice definitely holds for a few days after you pre chill it by filling it to the top with ice; so be ready to “sacrifice a bag of ice” as you will see as instructed. The video I share shows that a lot of the ice is still fairly solid after a full 48 hours

I have been using yeti products for quite a while and figured I’d stick with the brand. Needed a nice personal cooler for the truck and fishing, this one did just the trick!!! Keeps 1 bag of ice for a good 3-5 days depending on if I’m just hanging out or fishing. I live in HOT swfl so the capabilities are always put to the test. I can say I definitely recommend this cooler. If you prep the cooler right it’ll be your best friend!

I thought I had ordered a different size. the cooler is too big and heavy for us to handle.Also it does not have a drain so it has to be tipped to empty the water in it from the ice. I will be returing it. It has not been used yet, but I plan on sending it back.
