Very well made, and very compact, highly recommended
Compact, solid build, works great, perfect for for my Fuji cameras.

Won’t last more than a few months
When I first received this flash, it worked flawlessly. However, after only a few short months (4), the flash unit constantly cycles and recycles through the boot up process. It doesn’t stop and I am unable to use it. I can’t even get it to trigger, let alone control intensity or mode. It was a waste of money for me. Save your money and find an alternative.

Great compact flash, some issues in TTL mode
I was looking for a pocketable flash for my X100V and saw a Fuji Ambassador’s blog where he was using this flash. Decided to give it a try since all the other “compact” flashes I researched were much bigger and my other choice (Fuji EF-X20) has been discontinued. Without a doubt the biggest selling point for the FlashQ X20 is it’s tiny size and the convenient (and also tiny) transmitter which pairs well with a small camera like the X100, XE4, XT30, etc. Pairing the flash and transmitter was quick and easy and I was able to start shooting in TTL mode right away after charging the transmitter. This is where I started experiencing some issues however. For some reason the flash seemed to be out of sync with my X100V in TTL mode in roughly half the shots I took (set to 1/125 shutter speed). I took 5 consecutive photos of the same static subject in a dark room and only 2 of the 5 pics were visible while the other 3 were completely black as if the flash occurred way after the shutter already activated. I waited a few seconds in-between each shot to ensure the flash was ready and did not move the camera or re-frame. I continued this test on random subjects throughout the inside and outside of my home and got the same erratic results with roughly 50% of the photos being completely underexposed with no flash. Setting the flash (and camera) to manual flash mode fixed the issue completely so it seems to only occur in TTL. I ran the same test in TTL mode on my XH2S and it worked flawlessly so it seems to only affect my X100V. I need to run more tests before I can say for certain whether it’s an issue with the flash but I’ll edit this post when I do. Other than the issue above with my X100V the flash works really well in manual mode and seems to work perfectly (for now) with my XH2S so it’s hard to give it a definitive rating. For now I’ll give it 4 stars since the flash serve its purpose and is very convenient. UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer and although there was some translation issues it seems that they have acknowledged an issue with the X100V and this flash in TTL mode. The flash does however work in Manual mode with the x100v. With my XH2S as mentioned no issues on either manual or TTL.

Compact flash for Fuji XE-4
Compact flash for Fuji XE-4. The pictures I took was in complete darkness. Initially XE-4 did not recognize the flash as TTL. I had to push it all the way to the hot shoe and then it showed up as TTL. Overall it's very compact flash.

Poor quality control
This item arrived as defective because of missing parts, and I have to return it and get a replacement. Then the replacement got broken during the very first 10 shots. Not recommended.
