For crop-sensor mirrorless cameras, it will certainly work fine, but with full-frame setups you are going to be pushing the limits of the motor to the brink. The footage is absolutely on par with my larger FeiyuTech Scorp C2 I use with my full-frame rig. The size is tiny by comparison and the weight is low enough that I could carry this for an entire wedding shoot with no problem. The grip and rear handle are comfortable enough to use for an hour or two. For me, the rear handle is kind of small. The battery life will depend on the size of camera you use, but it is excellent for a phone or action camera. If you have a recent Sony or Canon mirrorless body with USB-C cable control, you can potentially control your camera's exposure settings from the gimbal handle, and even zoom a power-zoom lens. However, for most cameras, apparently including all Panasonic, Fujifilm, and Nikon cameras, the gimbal can only activate the shutter or start/stop recording and playback. The screen is somewhat dim in daylight, but usable. The touchscreen is responsive with no menu lag. This is a great value only if your camera is fully compatible and light enough for the motors.

Good for cellphones and action cameras. Anything you have to adjust manually is out of the question. The motors will lock up on most larger cameras. The apps also very much useless and Chinese Spyware.

The AI tracker mostly works but will get confused if there's obstruction and the framing can center people leaving too much headroom, but for the cost, we can't complain too much. This is a surprisingly functional unit, given the cost, and feels sturdy enough and almost too good to be true. Battery and charging life are on par and it does pack well enough, but overall, it's stuck in the middle. Despite having an affordable cost and small size, there are cheaper and smaller gimbals out there for cell phones. They justify this by adding it can do DLSRs / Mirrorless cameras as well as phones. However that's where this unit gets into trouble as it can barely fit most camera's, you'd need a small plastic lens and a small camera like a Lumix S9, L100, or old school Sony a6700 style body. If you have a typical mirrorless body with your 16-35, the balancing, especially for rolling and tilt won't go far enough and the motors on this unit are very weak compared to other FeiyuTech gimbals, which is understandable given the size. If you use this for cell phones note, you have to swap out plates and the cell phone plate doesn't have a forward back balance mechanism. Yes, cell phones are flat, but it is ESTIMATING and "WINGING" the tilt axis if you use a phone. Given that phones are somewhat lightweight, that's usually not a problem. However if you're trying to do a fancy short film and like rigging out your iPhone with lenses and cages, you'll be SOL. Ergonomics are not comfortable as the handle is very small to hold and VERY close to the active gimbal arms. Also you're going to need to detach the camera plate to fold up nicely, where other gimbals you can leave it on. I hate giving this 3 stars as it is a totally functional gimbal. But there is a VERY NARROW range of cameras that will go with it so it may be a gamble - NAKED PHONES with no accessories or COMPACT MIRRORLESS cameras with PLASTIC COMPACT lenses are gucci. If you need accessories on your camera such as a shot gun mic, monitor, etc I wouldn't recommend this. And I hesitate suggesting this for cell phone users given the lack of tilt balancing and a dedicated phone gimbal is smaller and cheaper and easier to pack and hold.

This is really great for point and click. I really like the ability to hook up my camera to it and just have it work. I like, in particular, the low-angle shooting. I think it's perhaps my favorite, as it allows me to follow my corgi, who is my main test subject for these types of videos. There are a lot of options for mounting. I did also get an opportunity to check out the AI features, which I think is really cool. I've been able to really easily get to start and stop tracking and mess with the shutter. I think that is a smart decision they have there, and they just have a lot of different accessories that come with this: just tons of mounting, tons of cables. Overall, I think this is a really great value for your money, and I think it competes with some of the top brands out there. This is actually the third SCORP gimbal I've received because I like them so much. I have one for my DSLR, I have one for my camera, and I just think overall it is a really sturdy, easy-to-use, well-designed gimbal.

Bad points out the way first - the manual is terrible and you have to figure out how to construct it yourself, which is not too hard, once you figure out that some of the parts you need are in a hidden section of the case behind a soft panel (which no one tells you about!) Also it doesn't work with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k as the camera is too wide for the side mounting plate, which I found out the hard way, so had to return it unfortunately. On the positive side however, it's very well made, beautifully constructed and a classy looking piece of gear...it's a shame it didn't work for me, I would definitely have kept it otherwise

The SCORP Mini 2 arrived safely, and it comes neatly packed and presented in an illustrated retail box. For the money you get quite of lot of accessories and cables which I really like, especially the magnetic fill light! The overall quality of the gimbal kit is brilliant, it looks and feels well made, its lightweight, and the quality of the materials are very good indeed. The multi-functional L-shaped quick release plate is an excellent design as it allows you to quickly swap between various devices including phones, cameras, and action cameras (up to 1.2kg). I also love the under-handle design along with the integrated joystick, it feels better for control and comfort compared to normal stick type gimbals and allows you to hold it for longer periods of time. There is a handy dial on the side which controls the rotation of the gimbal such as the tilt, pan and roll. The touchscreen is also easy to understand and operate as well as being brighter so you can still see it in the sunlight. The intelligent tracking feature is another highlight for this gimbal. It does an excellent job of tracking the subject, keeping it in frame, and it pans very smoothly whether it’s a person or object. You can also use gesture controls such as using the ok symbol to start and stop tracking and the gestures are very useful if you’re working on your own. Battery life is another strong area, and it should be able to give you continuous operation for up to 10 hours. Even if it runs low on battery, you can charge it up quiet quickly so its always ready to go. Overall, I think this is an excellent, and very practical all in one gimbal and whether you are an amateur or professional I think you will love the features that you get on this Mini 2. For around the £300 mark with all the accessories represents good value for money for what you are getting. It’s a product I’m more than happy to recommend and I feel its easily worth the full five stars, buy with total confidence!

After several days of use I like how its five-way joystick feels intuitive for pan and tilt adjustments mid-shot, and its quick-release plate makes swapping between my camera and smartphone pretty smooth. Its cordless magnetic fill light included in the kit is a small but handy touch for indoor or low-light situations. My one wish is that the touch screen were slightly larger for easier menu navigation outdoors. Overall though, for a versatile, travel-friendly stabilizer that covers mirrorless, DSLR, and smartphone shooting in one unit, this seems to be a very practical addition to my camera kit.
