Is asap lock prone to false nuisance grabbing of the safety line?

I haven't found this to be a problem, although it can grab if you get going fast on decent.

Can this be used in tree srt climbing instead of roperunner, akimbo, ... devices using hand/foot ascenders?

No. This is a specialty "autobelay". You cannot climb with it or use it to climb. When connected to a rope it will catch you if you fall. Do not use this device without proper training.

Is the asap lock connector bar cumbersome or prone to awkwardness compared to regular asap?

No this device is the most simple and safe. But does require training to use!
