Highly recommend this product as a quick fix for damaged leather
I purchased this patch in late December 2024 and for the past year it has worked perfectly! I accidentally stabbed a hole in my black leather drivers seat of my car with a screwdriver and couldn’t afford to reupholster or replace the street, so I went out on a whim and bought this patch. I was able to cut it to my desired size with simple kitchen scissors, it was easy to cut. TIP: cut the patch with round edges so it doesn’t peel up It’s basically just a big durable sticker. I stuck it over the spot in my car and have never had to worry the patch since. So easy to apply, hasn’t budged in a year. I surf, ski, and drive every day in a variety of outfits that have rubbed against the patch and nothing has made it budge, it looks exactly the same as the day I put it on. The texture I chose was smooth and it is very sticky as I said prior. It’s lightweight and it doesn’t 100% match my seat but nobody notices the patch and I forget it’s there so I would say it is visible but not drastically. I totally recommend this product for anyone who needs a quick, low price fix, when fixing leather and preventing a hole or blemish for increasing in size.

Great solution to a nasty looking problem and a big money saver! Update
The head rest area of a theater chair just kind of peeled away! My husbands' short hair style must have rubbed it the wrong way. This patch - I got new black - is almost an exact match for the color of the espresso chair leather, but with a smoother texture. The texture difference is not a deterrent since the patch was able to be placed center and square on the chair. I did as other reviews suggested and cleaned the area with alcohol first, let dry, then burnished the surface as I applied the patch making sure to keep it flat and straight. I recommend two people to handle it - one to hold the adhesive area away from the surface as you apply it from the other end because the adhesive is truly that good! You won't move it once it's in place! I loved it so much I got another piece for when the other chair needs a face lift! UPDATE - I plan to order a couple more pieces since this color matches my chairs so well. A couple months later, and I still love this fix! I was worried about the edges lifting or pulling on my hair - no problems at all! Still in place with the edges firmly adhered to the chair, they look great and I will use a couple more to cover some new scratches on the footrests from the cats' nails.

Good quality and value, but beware you need tailoring skills for harder repairs
You have and old office chair that looks like black leather (fake) that has begun to wear. You can't GIVE it away if you tried on FB or NextDoor. So do you junk it? If you're like us - not cheap but just HATE throwing stuff into the landfill - you investigate ways to get at leat a little more use out of it. We found dozens of options on Amazon and it was really hard to choose. But a lot of those options were like little 3-4" wide rolls of simulated leather, meant for really small patchwork to fix or decorate something. So we were finally attracted to the relatively high reviews on the quality an ease of use of the ONite leather repair kits. A large 8x11" patch was about $10 which is meh value, but given our repair need, the 16" x 5-ft roll was a bargain for about $25 (less $5 coupon we had). So we were very happy with the value of the product. When it arrived, sure enough it looked like a 16" wide roll of quality adhesive black leather repair material. Almost like contact paper for shelves. The challenge was that the office chairs we needed to repair had all sorts of curves in the seat and armrests. Was this going to work? Or look ugly as heck? In the end, by using parchment paper to cut out some rough patterns, we think the repairs came out OK. At a glance (see photos) they chairs look pretty good - much better than the tears they were showing. Just don't look too close near the seams - heheh. You really need tailoring skills to do something as complex as what we tried by semi "winging" it. So in the end, if we get 1-2 more years of use out of the chairs, the $20 will seem like a bargain. And if the patches hold up for that long, it will even make it palatable to someone looking for free furniture. On top of all that, I think we spend probably just 60 minutes fixing two chairs. So the DIY Gods are happy with us today.

Looks and feels great!
Good quality! Previous fabric was peeling off leaving exposed backing. Very sticky so make sure you put where you want! I didn’t think to take a photo of the before, but the after is so much better than the before. Very happy with the result.

COLOR CHANGED!!
I gave it 3 stars because I love the product but hate the color change!! I have ordered this product several times in the large roll. It has always matched my couches perfectly! The newest order do NOT match and it is a very different color. I have always purchased "New Dark Brown". My couches were not cheap in price but cheap in quality and I'm trying to make them last another few years. The product is great, it is easy to apply and stays very well. I am just sick about the color change. The picture shows 3 strips of new color over original patch of old color. (I had to cover seams that peeled). The portion under the patches is my actual couch so you can see how well it matched before. I didn't notice at first because I didn't have the overhead light on so that's on me. They need to update their page for repeat customers with the NEW "New Dark Brown". So disappointed!!!

Working out well
I had a tear in the headrest of my recliner that was about 2 inches long. No doubt the amount of wear that the middle of the headrest received is the reason for the tear, and I was concerned about a patch being able to withstand the constant contact, without shifting position. I started using this about six weeks ago, and it has shown no signs of wear, of any kind. It looks like this was a very good purchase.

LOVE! $10 investment saves $200 plus in leather goods.
This is made by 3M so adhesion is excellent. I have a high quality leather hand bag in great shape other than a couple of broken down areas at the base of each handle. I cut out four 2x1.5” pieces of this and wrapped them around the handles at the broken areas and on the corresponding unbroken areas so they would match. Can’t even see them from any distance, and if you do see them they look like they were part of the original design. Pictures show before and after. I also used on a pair of good leather riding boots Im not ready to get rid of yet, but they were getting hard to zip in the ankle area because the leather had broken down there. I put strips of this behind the zipper in that area to give it structure again. Worked great, and sealed down some loose zipper threads too. Again, picture shows repair though hard to see because the repair strips blend right in. I have two other purses I love with the only problem being messed up handles. I will be buying more colors and keeping this around for other repairs. Great stuff!
