Alcohol is made by yeast which feeds on sugar or starch AND EXCRETES ALCOHOL. Alcohol is absorbed and transformed into glucose so rapidly that it is especially dangerous to diabetics. Alcohol evaporates faster than water, so if you like the flavor of a wine or spirit, heat it slowly, uncovered. DO NOT BOIL; that would be a fire hazard with spirits. The steam rising will be mostly alcohol.

Why does one paragraph say no corn syrup and another paragraph says it does contain corn syrup?

Hi there, McCormick extracts were reformulated in November, 2010. The new formula removes corn syrup while keeping rich McCormick flavor. There is no corn syrup in McCormick Pure Vanilla. ~ Erica
