Miso Gluten Free Vegan, 13.2 Ounce

Good quality yellow miso you can get without your grocery store gouging you on the price. You get a nice little tub of good quality miso that mixes well into soups, sauces, and other dishes to add a lovely umami flavor and pleasant saltiness. Alot of places try to overcharge for this super basic ingredient but the Marukome tub from Amazon is affordable, you get alot, and it stores well in the fridge.

Love this including the mild taste. Is great by itself or added in stews, stir fries, dressings, etc. I wish they would update their containers, however. This cheap styrene doesn't seal well and almost always breaks. If Aldi can sell heavy-duty packaging, so can these guys.

The miso paste arrived outside its container. There is no way of returning or getting refund. **update** I contacted Amazon which felt harder and longer than it should ever take for my type of situation. They issued a replacement but it is still only getting two more stars. My experience with this particular brand of Miso is that the color and taste are quite inconsistent. You get dramatically different taste, richness and color even when expiration date is the similar. Almost like the difference between yellow/red and white miso. Still usable and delicious but be aware that if you are a "follow the recipe" cook you will experience some noticeable differences.

Great flavor broth for making Miso soup

Great tasting, light miso that isn’t too salty

I recently started drinking instant bone broth soup. Some of these products are ridiculously expensive. So I tried using the liquid organic chicken and beef bone broth you get from Meijer, Walmart, etc. that comes in the carton that I usually use for chicken noodle soup or beef stew. Well, it was pretty bland and even after doctoring it up with LOTS of seasonings and stuff it was still nothing like the instant bone broth soup products I bought and tried online. So I thought I'd try some Miso in it. Haven't had it for years but read reviews of other people putting gin in broth soups. Wow!! This can make ANY bone broth taste just as good as the instant bone broth soup yo but online. I still add some extras but this tastes so good in the bone broth you don't really need any extras. PERFECT! Exactly what I was hoping for :))

As advertised plus high quality.

Product came in broken with the paste half spilled into the bag. Had to transfer whatever was left into a glass container. Good taste.
