Buy this one!
Fantastic product! Obviously designed by someone who actually uses a carpet scrubber. Easy to use, easy to clean, does a wonderful job on the carpets.

Much better than my Hoover Power dash Pet!
We bought this shampooer after the Hoover power dash pet one died. After taking it apart we realize there was a flaw in that design and allowed water to get into the motor. So we purchased this one and was quite surprised at how much more solution it held! Especially since it wasn't very much bigger than the Hoover. The carry handle is in the perfect spot in the middle making it easy to lift. The solution container is a really great size for this size of shampooer. And the waste container actually holds quite a bit as well. Our Hoover didn't even hold the amount of solution that was put out which seemed really odd. This one also will stand on its own so that you can fill it. It won't leak either. My old one had a tiny hole to allow air to come in to push the solution down so I had to plug my finger over the hole while I filled it up and then put solution in. That was a huge pain. This one I just said it in the sink I fill it up and put the solution in. Dumping the dirty solution is SO much easier than our old one! I can actually dump this in the toilet and don't make a mess! One of the major pluses of this one over the Hoover that we had is the ability to clean the waste tank. Cleaning the Hoover was a nightmare. I had to take it outside and use a hose and still could never get it fully clean. This one actually has a large cap on the bottom of it that you can unscrew to remove a section of it and I can fully clean it out very easily. This is such a huge plus because anytime there is even a little bit left in our old one it would start to stink very quickly. Now on to the cleaning. Get ready to see some black water! I was absolutely shocked at how well this pulled dirt and pet hair out of our rugs. We do not have carpet so we have area rugs and runners. This does a fantastic job of cleaning it. The attachment for the upholstery cleaner is way easier than our old one however I wish it had a rotating brush and a little bit of a wider head so that it could suck more solution up. I do wish that you could take the entire plastic front off to clean pet hair that has stuck to the front of it. There is one section that pops off but I find that hardly anything even gets in there. It's still easier than my old one though. My old one I had to take it outside and hose it out. With this one I wait for the pet hair to dry then I flip it over and unscrew the section for replacing the belt that way it loosens the brush. Then I can just use my finger to wipe out the now dry pet hair. You can do this wet but I find it yucky so I wait for it to dry because all the hair just sticks together and it doesn't feel gross. Then I just reattach that little section with the two screws. It is on the noisy side but I have yet to find a shampooer that is not noisy. But it's not so noisy that I need to wear at earplugs or anything. There is very little water leakage when you turn it off. Most shampooers allow some of the dirty water to come back out because it hasn't gone fully up the tube. This one has very minimal water dripage. Would definitely by again.

Excellent for the price
Extremely happy with the ability of this to clean my bedroom carpets and area rugs. An online video made it easy to assemble and use. A bit heavy for carrying up and down stairs, if that is an issue for someone, but easy to fill, use, and empty.

Decent for quick cleans, but not as powerful or easy to maintain as I expected
I bought the BISSELL TurboClean Carpet Cleaner mainly because I have toddlers running around, and spills does occasionally happen . While it definitely makes the carpet look fresher and does pick up surface dirt, I have some mixed feelings about its overall performance. It’s lightweight and easy to move around, which is great for quick cleanups. The carpet looks and smells better after each use, so it does help with general maintenance. However, when it comes to tackling tougher stains, it’s not as effective as I hoped. Even after pre-soaking, I often have to go over the same spot multiple times to see results and sometimes the stain still doesn’t come completely out. The cleanup process is also a bit tedious. I expected the machine to have more detachable parts for easier rinsing, but a few areas are hard to reach. That makes it difficult to fully clean after each use, and I’ve noticed some dirty residue can transfer back onto the carpet the next time I use it. Overall, it’s a decent carpet cleaner for light messes and maintenance, especially if you’re cleaning frequently. But if you’re looking for something that can handle deeper stains or is easier to clean between uses, this one might be a bit of a hassle.

Easy to use and was able to clean up new and old messes alike
Absolutely exceeded my expectations. My old Bissell steam cleaner finally cleaned its last mess. The new steam cleaner has proven to be a new favorite device in my household. After the steam cleaning was done it dried so much quicker than the old one. I was able to walk on the carpet within two hours.

I’m a guy reviewing this lol
I had a bissel pro heat carpet cleaner for 6 years it lasted way longer than expected and was going through a divorce renting a condo with 2 dogs, it worked great eventually after years of frequent use it began to fall apart. Had to 2 dogs one wasn’t very potty trained despite dog training classes I was constantly cleaning up wet spots and put months of use on the previous carpet shampooer. The bissel carpet shampooer survived 2 separate marriages until finally falling apart a month ago my wife also uses the new carpet shampooer- we got a the pet xl one because since getting remarried my wife adopted cats and the 2 previous dogs have since passed and we have 2 shelter rescues who are potty trained but track in mud plus a 19 month old toddler if that gives you an idea so we use this new carpet cleaner multiple times a week. It’s still a beast in every way heavy and way less maintenance as of now, I like how the spot cleaner isn’t fixed on the carpet cleaner and is separate. The bissel pro heat spot cleaner hose was always falling off the mount cumbersome and we didn’t like it; glad they changed the design. Someone said the tanks are milk carton thin and they must’ve been delirious since the tanks are at least 3mm thick and sturdy so i completely disagree and i almost chose not to buy it based on that review. This carpet clean is solid and it doesn’t need a water heater on the unit itself because you use it after you fill the tank shortly thereafter and having a heater on it is more of an unnecessary expense. I’m a satisfied bissel customer and as a guy I am impressed with its ability to clean deep pet stains or baby food off the carpets. Zero complaints it’s easy to use easy to clean and bissel did a great job changing the design since the proheat bissel was a pain to fill and empty the dirty water.

Great product!
This is a great product. My carpets have not been done for a while due to my other taking a crap. Disgusting how dirty the water is that it is pulling up. Will probably have to do them a second time. However, wish the cord was a little longer but I have sockets everywhere so not a big deal. I also really like that water containers are separate. My other one everything was all together. Wish these were a little larger also. Overall, am extremely pleased with my purchase! Clumps of dog hair are flying but that is to be expected. This is an addendum, my boxer stepped in his poop this am and brought it into the house. I had cleaned the carpets about 3 weeks ago when I first got this. Have to say I am even more impressed. There is hardly any dirty water being picked up. Because he did what he did and I am having a 5 year old here next Saturday, I want the carpet clean. I have no doubt it will be. He can roll around all over and I don’t have to worry about a dirty carpet. Thanks Bissell!!!

A Heavy-Dury machine, with a few quirks
This machine is OK. That's about all I can say. Well, It's a Work-horse... a heavy-duty cleaner. But it takes some getting used to. It is not like the Eurek I was used to. First, when you pull the trigger, it puts out... big time. You have to learn to be light on the trigger. Secondly, the brush is aggressive... and you can't shut it off like you could on my previous one. It lacks a little in the carpet drying capacity, leaving the carpet a little on the wet side. And if you clean often (as I do with pets) it stresses the carpet pile. Furthermore, loose carpet fibers and pet hairs accumulate in the brush cavity and have to be removed by hand WHEN THE UNIT IS SHUT DOWN. I park it on vinyl floor, and if I do not dry-run it for a while after finishing cleaning, it drains onto the vinyl floor, requiring regular mopping. It has some chubby little feet that protrude from the bottom to lift the brush off the carpet when in the upright position... which is GOOD, protecting the carpet when cleaning upholstery, etc. Yet sometimes those little feet are slow in retracting when carpet cleaning is resumed, leaving the water in the carpet for a pass to two. Do I recommend it? --Yes, if you want a workhorse of a carpet cleaner... and are willing to live with its quirks. My previous brand had quirks, too... but they were entirely different. I'm still looking for the "perfect" machine... but the ones at the local rent-shop are not it!
