Large but great quality and effective as a temporary filter
It cleans up power steering fluid but it’s a large filter. I have a 2008 CRV and I don’t want to have it in place all the time but wanted to clean up the residual particles after a power steering rack replacement. I bled the system after install with 6 bottle of fresh Honda PS Fluid but the fluid was more amber in color for my preference. I pulled out the reservoir fluid and temporarily placed this filter plus a little 3/8 hose into the system right before the reservoir and ran the system for 30 minutes and then removed the filter. In the picture (before and after) you can see that this filter cleaned up and cleared up the fluid.

Fits well on my tundra
Was super easy to install on my tundra's transmission cooler. Only hard part was figuring out the fluid direction. (which I marked it on the lines to whom it may concern, May need to zoom) Also installed one on my power steering. Will definitely be cutting the transmission filter open in a few thousand miles & post pics. 8 Months & 20,000 miles later it was time to do a full drain & fill on my pretty well maintained transmission. Decided to cut the filter open with tin snips over using a grinder so I could tell what's really on the filter.(works perfect on the top rim) Kinda hard to see in the pic but all I had was a very light build up on the magnet which was about equal to the pan magnets (chunk of magnet also chipped off while opening the filter, only issue I had) Very well made!!

Better than OEM (06 CRV)
Better than OEM (06 CRV). Didn't fit in the original bracket, but a stainless steel ring-clamp solved that problem.

Works Great, 500 Miles In
I got it into my head to install an inline filter for our power steering pump. I had just rebuilt the engine and replaced the PS pump with a questionable, imported-from-you-know-where Amazon Special. That was 500 miles ago - so far, so good! Is it saving my pump? That's a counterfactual; I have no idea :). But I don't regret "babying" my cheap pump with this filter. For the price, I regard it as cheap insurance. One more thing...It's the "right" size to get the job done. I do not believe the small, cleanable filters designed specifically for PS pumps are much more than tiny strainers. I just don't see how those filters can work. This filter is "normal" sized - i.e. fuel-filter-diameter - so my universe makes sense. Just my 2 cents.

good power steering fluid filter
I use these as inline filters for my 2005 Chevy Silverado at the power steering system. They install nicely inline at the return fluid line/hose to help keep the system/fluid clean. Make sure the filter is installed in the correct orientation so the fluid flows in the correct direction through the filter.

flows good. - saved my new pump
I put this on two of my pickups. 1998 Tacoma with a 2.7 liter and a 1993 Chevy k1500 silverado z71 with the 350. Both had 3/8 inch return lines. Strangely enough, within one day of each other, both trucks began to have power steering issues. The screen on the Toyota was clogged completely up and the chevy reservoir was pretty filthy. I flushed both the best I could, cleaned the screen, and put this filter on. It seems to flow perfectly fine as I haven't had any more power steering issues. *******UPDATE******* This is a heck of a filter. I guess the restored flow, new fluid, new pump flushed a ton of sludge out of my old system. I took the filter off and put it in a vise. Beat on it for 20 minutes with a hammer and chisel to open it up. This is the toughest filter I've ever encountered. Once inside it was PACKED with sludge. This is NOT caused BY the filter to be clear with everyone. This filter took a beating of sludge and shrugged it off. It was still passing fluid, no whine, no hard steering. All seemed normal. Inside the filter it was a nightmare, but it didn't collapse. This is one product I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This poor filter took a beating and kept on ticking. I put on a new filter and plan on swapping it again soon and inspecting it. But I'm going to say the filter saved my new pump because it isn't having any issues. Drives like new.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for my 2013 Honda Odyssey AT. Gonna do one for the power steering. Both same size.
