My model is acsrg , genie manufacture date is week 38 of 1997, will it work with mine?

Yes! I have a model before 1998 - ignore the instructions that come with the remote, and look it up on YouTube. It's SUPER easy - you just push the button on the opener (on the roof of the garage), it blinks, push the remote button, and it's programmed. If you search for "program universal remote old genie" or something to that effect you'll find some good videos.

If the frequency of your original remote is 390Mhz, and the original remote type is GIT-1/ACSCTG Type1/ACSCTO Type1, it should be compatible with your garage door opener.(NOT work for remote with dip switches).
