Review: Great book, but beware desertcart's packaging. - In addition to being beautifully designed, written, and organized, this book is very nicely made. It's like a fabric-bound textbook. The paper is thick and extremely high quality. If you're a Dune fan, a Josh Brolin fan, or a cinema/production fan, this is hands-down a book you can't pass up. For fans of Dune, parts of this book almost read more like they were written by an actual Gurney Halleck, and then Josh Brolin just took credit. Brolin's talent as a poet REALLY shows. Absolutely worth the price! You really do get what you pay for here. That being said, I would recommend purchasing elsewhere. desertcart's current packaging practices create a real risk, as far as possible damage. This isn't a lightweight book, it's akin to a textbook in size/weight, and mine was just thrown into a larger box without any padding whatsoever. The book came shrink-wrapped, and it did arrive in good shape, but I feel like that was completely due to luck/coincidence - not desertcart. For a company that started in books, you'd think that they could package books better and avoid tumbling them all the way to their customers' doorsteps.
