The set is complete, with all the promised components, is made of sturdy materials, and is beautiful. The case is made of canvas and seems durable. The lining is somewhat thin. The color of the case and inner sleeves is a lovely mint green that matches the backs of the tiles, making for a cheerful, coordinated set. The tiles have a nice weight and feel. All are finished well and easy to read. The racks are unfinished wood. The magnets are weak, but a weak magnet lets you swing the pusher out without jostling or tipping the tiles. The magnets hold the pushers against the rack adequately when there are no tiles to hold them up. I really love this set and can't wait to take it to my next game session.

This is just a gorgeous set! Bright colors, crisp graphics on the tile, scratch-resistant, and pretty (but subtle) pattern. The bag is a great size for storing or traveling, and everything fits super well! The lining/padding is thin but present, and the interior pocket is the perfect size for the large print mahjong cards. Overall I’m super pleased with this set, even though it was a little pricey…you do get your money’s worth! Just know that if you’re going to personalize it with HTV, the heat needed to apply the vinyl will probably melt the padding on the inside of the case a little — this didn’t bother me! I used my cricut to monogram the case and sleeves and loved the customization. The item itself got 5 stars. But what really prompted me to write this review was the stellar customer service I got from Yellow Mountain Imports! I unknowingly bought this set from a third party seller and had an issue, and I reached out to YMI thinking they were the seller. Even though they didn’t sell the item originally, they stood behind their product and addressed the issue, and I couldn’t be happier. I would absolutely recommend buying this set, but make sure you buy it from Yellow Mountain Imports directly as the seller…their customer service can’t be beat! I’ll absolutely be buying more sets and gifts!!

I bought this set as my beginner/first set, as I am brand new to this game. It is PERFECT! Nothing about it seems cheap or flimsy! The tiles are smooth and easily readable. The racks with magnetic pushers are a great color and are very sturdy! I love the trays for the tiles and how nicely all of it packs up into the carrying bag. It comes with everything that you need to start Mahjong play!

All good - the color of the tiles are very nice and the characters are traditional I just wish it came with a mat.

This was a great starter set for mah-jongg. I especially like the plain wooden racks with magnetic pusher that came in the set. The color of the back of the tiles is also very pretty and looks accurate to what is seen online. The bags for the racks and tiles are high-quality but the outside larger bag that holds everything is on the thin side, I would prefer a thicker bag. The set came with everything I needed to set up and start playing four person mah-jongg.

Beautiful, engraved, smooth tiles. Racks are smooth with the magnets perfectly placed. The storage bag and tile/racks wraps are very well made with no loose strings and tightly constructed. The zippers on the bag top and inside pocket are sturdy and open and close smoothly. I bought this for myself, but it would be a wonderful gift! The set does NOT come with the mat or score cards. But I found that most sets don't come with these. I am very pleased.

It is a very nice beginner's set. The tiles are on the smaller size, but they are engraved and very easy to identify. I would have preferred a zippered bag to store the tiles, but no problem, I bought a separate big cosmetics bag that works beautifully.

I couldn't have made a better decision than choosing Yellow Mountain Imports. The Pepper with Pepper Green Soft Case set came exactly as described. It is a beautiful mahjong set that is expertly crafted. This is the 2nd set I bought my wife as she has one up north and one in Florida. The other set is the Koi Fish and she gets raving revues from friends for both sets. The tiles are also easy to read and handle and the set is not too heavy to carry to other places.
