Good for moisture retention in my ball python enclosure, worth the money. The odor is earthy but not musty or chemical. Overall a good product would buy again

I ordered this moss to put into the humid hide for my leopard gecko. The package arrived in perfect condition. I've never delt with sphagnum moss before, so I was a little shocked to see the vacuumed sealed bag. After cutting it open I expected it to instantly fluff, but that wasn't the case. I tore a bit off and fluffed it up and it easily tranformed into the perfect bedding for my humid hide. It's soft, yet sturdy and adds a good level of comfort for my gecko while helping to maintain the humidity of the enclosure. I misted it to test the humidity level and was just what we needed! The price is great and the moss will last us a good while since it doesn't take much to fill our humid hide. Overall this is a great buy and I highly recommend!

Very happy. This stuff fluffed up way more than I thought and was way more than we needed for our ball python and the 40 gal tank but we used it all anyway and it is worth it for sure. The whole bag filled the entire 40 gal tank with a lot of thickness. It smells good, looks good and is definitely real.

I bought this sphagnum moss for my lizard’s enclosure and it worked exactly as expected. The moss arrived clean, dry, and well-packaged with no strong odor or debris. After lightly misting it, it expanded nicely and held moisture well, which helped maintain proper humidity levels in the tank. It’s soft, natural-looking, and easy to spread around hides and corners. My lizard adjusted to it immediately and uses it without any issues. A little goes a long way, so the 5 oz bag lasted longer than I expected. Overall, this is a solid choice for reptile enclosures, especially if you need something that retains moisture without becoming soggy. I would buy it again. I purchased this product with the intention of creating a mossy hide for my snake, and overall, it worked well for that purpose. The dried moss has a vibrant color, looks semi-realistic, and has a decent texture. However, the main issue I encountered was how dusty it was—some of the moss had degraded into a powder at the bottom of the bag. Fortunately, the rest of it was in good condition and usable. Knowing it is reptile-safe and easy to work with, I’d say this is a good product for creating decorations or functional additions to reptile enclosures. It also retains moisture well, making it a great option for a humid shedding cave. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this for reptiles that enjoy eating greens or licking their environment due to its brittle texture and resemblance to edible vegetation. For other uses, though, it works just fine and serves its purpose effectively.

This moss is fantastic, grow up when you add water, is easy to use, color is brown but when you open the vacuum sealed package and adding water, will grow more green. I use only less than half the package and after soaking, there was a lot of moss, green and with a great smell. I use one part in my tortoise enclosure, but plan to use the rest of the package. It is easy to clean, just get a big recipient, put the moss, add some water, not a lot like half of the moss used, and in 10 min, moss will grow and turning green, soak the rest, change the water, and that’s it. For the money paid, it is a great quality moss, size is fine, and price is inexpensive.

Excellent product! Works great for decore, animals and gardens! I will buy again.

The package was vacuum sealed it was not enjoyable having to scrunch it all up kind of annoying to have to do that honestly.
