UPDATE AFTER A FULL YEAR OF USAGE: Does not really work. I would still plug it in because I was desperate for anything to work.. even bought refills but honestly it never worked. :( I will update this review after a few more weeks of usage, however I’ll briefly describe the experience thus far (4 days into having the diffuser plugged in.) The package came in perfect condition with every piece included so no complaints there. When I plugged it in, per other review’s complaints, I checked to make sure it wasn’t getting too hot or burning. It wasn’t so all good on the burning/too hot issue! I cannot smell it at all. My dog (15 month old lab mix) seems to like it, or at least doesn’t mind it. He goes in his crate a lot recently (I plugged it in right next to his crate for calming reasons.) I will hopefully have good things to review in a few weeks but it came just as expected with no problems so far. I also use Zesty’s calming bites, Thundershirt, and an organic calming spray for dogs.

This had the exact opposite effect on my dog. We rescued her from a dog hoarding situation at around 6 months old and she's scared of everything, has no boundaries and refuses to listen to commands when she's in one of her freak outs. She's crazy on a good day and I was really hoping this would help her relax and stop being so anxious and neurotic. I plugged it in and within an hour, she was running around the house, parkouring off every possible surface. My other animals were scurrying around in terror, trying to find a safe place where she wouldn't pounce them in her runs through the house. I thought maybe it was because it was windy outside, and she's scared of everything, so I left it plugged in. We endured 2 days of the little monster terrorizing us, our senior dog and cats, and chewing through anything she could get her jaws on. She didn't nap or sleep and she was on high alert almost constantly. I unplugged it this morning and she's had a lovely, mostly calm day, with a few minor bouts of insanity, pretty much back to normal almost immediately. I don't know if this does actually work for others, but for my gal's particular brand of mental illness, this wasn't effective AT ALL. Back to the drawing board in finding ways to keep her calm. Attaching a photo of my little Peanut, because she's cute as can be, when she isn't acting like my house is an obstacle course with edible pieces.

We adopted a little guy a few years ago after we lost our other fur baby to heart failure. Anyway, the new one had been tragically mistreated and completely neglected in his life before he came home with us. He had been kept in a very small kennel, had never been outside, could barely use his legs, didn't know what it was to be petted and loved on because he was neglected so severely.....this poor guy was a mess. But I adopted him and all of his problems. I have never given up on a dog, but this one was the absolute worst case I had ever come across. I was afraid that he would never come around and be a loving companion. I was wrong. I came across these pheromone diffuser after I bought the pheromone calming collar and had SUPERB SUCCESS, so I bought this to accompany and enhance the effects of the collar. OH, MY GOODNESS. What an amazing transformation of my dog! It doesn't make him perfect, but he is completely different. He's not as skittish, not as nervous, scared, anxious and depressed. He sleeps so much better than without this. He still has trouble with loud scary noise, bugs, being alone. But for the most part, he's a completely different dog. With the aid of this pheromone diffuser, the calming collar and some edible items that help him with his behavior issues, he has become a loveable, snuggle Munchkin. I don't use any RX's because of the side effects that can happen. I appreciate the more natural remedies for issues that may arise in life. And he had issues. He still has some, and I think he always will, because he was so traumatized and mistreated in his early life. But he now accepts pets, he loves to be loved on, he's definitely a "VELCRO" dog! I am so thankful that I came across this product and decided to take a chance. I am sure it won't work for everyone's dog's needs, but if you have tried several different things and have had little success, it could behoove you to take a chance on this. Because if it does work, then you will be able to feel better about the quality of life your dog will have. I know that I do. I have faith that these pheromone products help him and when it's time for a new one, about 4 weeks, I can see a big difference in his behavior. So I replace it with a new one and within a few minutes, it begins working its magic and he begins settling down. I always have several of these and several of the calming collars on hand. I don't want to be without them because of the fact that they're working for my little fellow and anything that makes him happy and comfortable I want that for him. He had a terrible life before us and I want to do everything I can to help make sure he has the BEST LIFE EXPERIENCE he can have. And this diffuser and the collar are a part of our life now. I hope you give it a chance because it could be good for your dog too, and isn't that what we all want for our fur babies ❤️?

Was hoping for the best, but unfortunately my dogs did not do well with this and had the opposite effect like some reviews have talked about. I have two corgis one has always been anxious and the other is a bit aggressive with her. I was hoping this would calm them both but unfortunately it seemed like it actually made the aggresion worse. It was somewhat gradual so i didnt notice at first. When i did realize i unplugged it and notice it decreased back to her normal shortly after.

I have a neurotic pit bull who forecasts weather. I bought these to help with his anxiety when the pressure drops to see if they help reduce the panting, pacing, chewing, teeth chattering, shaking, etc. They do seem to help some, since medication and his thunder garment alone didn't help. I plug them in at any chance of rain, fireworks, crickets, croaking frogs, etc. and they do seem to help. He's an extreme case. These are simple to plug in, leave room to plug something else beneath them, don't smell, and are conveniently refillable. Will continue to use.

I bought these and had them delivered the next day. We have 2 rescued dogs that do great when we are home and horrible when we are not. They are scared of kennels and things like that so it was useless. A lot was being torn up or chewed while we were gone - holes in the rugs, anything left out was destroyed, etc. it was out of hand. My mom’s friend is a vet and recommended this specific product. I bought 2 because we have an open concept main floor. I put one behind the couch they lay on and one in the middle of the floor (wall that the house circles). The main room they are in was kind of double layered. You can’t smell anything, there is no scent. Since starting both on Tuesday morning they have not destroyed anything (in over 2 days- it’s Thursday morning) and are both super playful and happy. The funny part is that my husband started getting sleepy at night earlier and our daughter (who is on high dose prednisone) was falling asleep on the couch. I did not explain what I did differently to them. So I’ve found it works for all types of anxiety, not just dogs.

Before they changed from adaption to this it worked wonders but now it’s not working at all!!!

These are magic. I bought some from a pet place online and then refills off Amazon. I don’t know how it works, but seems to work well.
