If you're prepared like you should be, it will be perfect
Looks like all the poor reviews come from people who wing projects or don't have any experience with even basic plumbing. Yes you need to buy the drain removal tool. Yes you need to make sure you have the same drain size. Yes you have to be careful to not scratch the matte black painted screws on the overflow This product looks and functions perfectly. What even surprised me is that it also came with a gasket, meaning in didn't have to use plumbers putty. I just needed to tighten it with the tool.

Easy to Install and Works fine
This bathtub drain trim set was very easy to install, even for someone without much plumbing experience. The instructions were clear, and all the pieces fit perfectly without hassle. The quality looks fine and the finish is clean, giving my tub a refreshed look. So far it works as expected with no leaks or issues. I took off one star only because the material feels fairly standard and not super heavy-duty, but for the price and convenience, it’s a solid and reliable choice.
