Very nice pen

This Parker I purchased as a new addition to my collection, dough it is really cheap one compared to MB, Aurora, Waterman Carene etc. It behaves very smooth. Four stars, because the nib could be gold plated. Could you imagine the contrast: Gold plated trim and ... Steel nib. Such a gipsy combination...

Really well balanced pen makes writing easy for arthritic fingers

It may be harsh but I think the pen isn’t worth the money spent on it. The tip and ink flow just isn’t impressive compared to other options around this price range. Especially ink flow and smoothness, the Lamy pens and Kaweco pens are better. I’m comparing them to this pen as I have those other FE. The only good part about the pen is the body and weight when handling it. But the writing experience is subpar.

Only issue was the nib was not fine as advertised.

I Have had this Pen for 6 months and first of all the ink in the nib kept drying out and replacing the ink cartridge was always troublesome. You had to pull and push to make the pen brake the seal. The last time i replaced the ink the top of the pen broke, maybe i used too much force but you should not have to force it that much it breaks. Not happy and Parker, if they did make this pen, should be ashamed of such a cheap product.

Note: it does not come with the converter, which needs to be purchased separately at about 30 dollars. DO check online if you don’t know what a fountain converter is. Other than that, everything is fine.

I have long wanted a fountain pen, but my handwriting is so poor I have hesitated to spend $200 or more on a pen. I saw this pen and decided to try it. I’m glad I did. It’s a great looking pen. It writes very well, even for my clumsy cursive. It’s a good fit for my hand and the nib really glides over paper. The pen does use a lot of plastic where an expensive pen would use metal. Because of the plastic construction, this pen could develop cracks or even break if not used with care. This is most likely to happen when inserting a new refil. It takes force and could easily crack the plastic. I have solved this by using the awl on my Swiss Army Knife to puncture the seal of the refill. This makes it much easier to insert. An ice pick or similar instrument would work. If you are looking for an entry level fountain pen, this one is hard to beat.
