Mira Showers Zest Universal Shower Hose 1.25m - Chrome

My original Mira hose was a bit grubby and starting to split so I wanted a quality replacement. This fits the bill perfectly. It has a plastic covering that is very strong and will offer protection to the hose. The hose is the same length as the original so fits the shower well. The only problem was that the plastic cover makes it less flexible and was also set in an awkward shape so that it didn't sit nicely in the shower space. But, after a few days the plastic settled into a shape that is more suitable for the space it is in. The less flexible nature is not a problem and the hose can be used comfortably in different ways.

Bought Mira Zest Universal 4-Spray Head plus Zest 1.25M hose as replacements for original Mira fittings, now showing their age. Do like the more substantial outer transparent cover to chrome tubing on new hose, which should aid cleaning and wear. And new setup is working perfectly. After selecting hose ends following instructions, new head screwed onto new hose without difficulty, and both parked neatly into sliding shower-head holder. But when it came to fitting other end of hose to wall valve outlet, I did miss the two unobtrusive 20mm spanner 'flats', which had simplified removal of the discarded hose. Found it a struggle to screw new 'tool-less' fitting fully onto old outlet, without marking collar with grips. So do consider cleaning and lubricating threads of any old fittings (with wire-wool, soap etc) before attempting that.

So many years of using gross shower hoses where stuff builds up between the coils and you have to awkwardly scrub to clean. Not this one - there's plastic tubing around it, eliminating that problem completely. Can easily wipe down in a fraction of the time. Haven't had any issues with leaks or anything. You pay more, but it's worth it.

Delighted with the replacement hose. Quality product. Good flexibility whilst retaining strength. Very durable. No leaks. Good value for money.

As expected, simple replacement and a direct match for the existing shower hose that had failed.

Our shower hose started leaking although it was only about 3 years old. First replaced the washers but still leaked so had to buy a new hose. Mira seems to inflate their prices but decided to get the original part rather than a cheaper alternative. Was quick and easy to fit and no more leaking hose.
