We have this book and the original story of Dasher. Such cute books and a great addition to the traditional Christmas story lineup.

I recommend this book to children ages2-10. It is an extraordinary example of kindness shared between a child and one of Santa’s reindeer. Who can’t use a little more kindness in our world today?

I have Dasher and now the next part of the story. This author brings magic to every page with their words and the illustrator with their art. Fantastic book for the family, young and old. Timeless. Thank you.

Dasher was my favorite children’s book of 2022. I was hoping the second book would be just as good, and it doesn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to give each of my grandbabies a copy this Christmas. Heartwarming story and beautifully illustrated pages. Loved it.

DASHER CAN’T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS is a sequel to Matt Tavare’s children’s Christmas book DASHER. In this book, it is 12 days until Christmas and Santa’s young reindeer, Dasher, is full of excitement. “How many more sleeps until Christmas?” she asks her mom. One night Dasher hears some singing in the distance and so desperately wants to see where the music is coming from that she takes off on a short trip away from home. The music fades, but then she sees some lights and comes across a town full of brilliant illumination and music in celebration of Christmas. Dasher prepares to return home, but discovers she has lost her way and a snow storm has begun. The sky is so clouded that she cannot even find the north star to get her bearings. Tired and hungry, she takes a reprieve near a house filled with lights somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Will Dasher make it back home before Christmas?I enjoyed DASHER CAN’T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS. Although it’s not as memorable as many other children’s Christmas books, it has an engaging story that smaller children really enjoy. The illustrations are well done. Overall, it’s a nice little book that makes a good bedtime read during the Christmas season.
