They work!!! Really.

They’re great if you’re molding is tiny. They’re not large enough on the end to go into the molding.

I have used these to install a short piece of quarter round where it was difficult to nail in to place. I did pre drill the quarter round so it would not split. I used the sleeve to place the nail where I needed it, pushed the quarter round into place to make a dimple in the wood, drilled a small hole and pushed it into place. This is holding it firmly in place. I also used these to hang a sign made from foam board.

Did not work as advertised!

My husband made three 6 inch wooden steps over the top of a too-tall 9-inch concrete block step to the back patio. This was so our three elderly pugs could get back into the house easier. He was looking for an easy way to make clean looking steps with a nice wood finish on top. These double ended nails did the trick holding the top of the steps in place with no fastner markings visible on top.A little care and patience is required to knock the wood down square on the nails. My husband found it useful. The tubular tool for hammering the nail into the base is very handy. Can’t really knock the price either.
