Probably one of the best clones of Tom Ford’s black Orchid that I’ve worn so far. But don’t be fooled. It’s not for everyone. You have to be a person with a strong and confident presence to pull it off. I wear a suit to the office daily, and I’m in charge, so that energy is passed into what I do. Could it be pulled off otherwise. Maybe. Wear what you like, when you like, but be warned that unless you fit the persona, you may not get compliments from wearing it. It is an eternal scent so you will not get it off of your clothing until you wash it or take it in for dry cleaning. I’ve heard of other TF Black Orchid clones, but this is the best one I’ve smelled so far.

This Ard Al Zaafaran 2-piece set is best understood as a Tom Ford Black Orchid-style fragrance at a budget price, and it stays pretty true to that assignment. You get a 3.4oz EDP plus a 1.6oz body spray, and the DNA is immediately recognizable. From the first spray, the direction is clear. You get that dark floral, earthy sweetness that defines Black Orchid. There’s a mix of florals, patchouli, and a slightly chocolaty warmth that makes the inspiration obvious right away. As it settles, the resemblance is still there, but the differences start to show. The mid carries that dark floral + earthy sweetness combo, but it doesn’t have the same depth or texture as the original. Black Orchid has a thick, almost velvety richness. This feels lighter and a bit flatter by comparison. The drydown stays in the same lane. You get patchouli, soft sweetness, and a slightly powdery darkness, which keeps the overall vibe intact. It definitely smells like it belongs in the Black Orchid family, just in a more simplified form. The biggest difference is richness. Tom Ford’s version feels dense and luxurious. This comes across thinner and less layered, especially side by side. It captures the idea of the scent more than the full experience. Performance is another clear gap. Black Orchid is known for being loud and long-lasting. This one is much more moderate. You’ll get decent wear, but nowhere near the projection or longevity of the original. The body spray helps extend the vibe, but it still doesn’t approach Tom Ford levels. Where this set really makes sense is value. You’re getting: - recognizable Black Orchid DNA - two formats (EDP + body spray) - very low cost of entry It’s not going to replace the original if you’re chasing richness or performance, but as an affordable way to enjoy that dark, slightly gothic floral profile, it works. Overall, this falls squarely into the “good, not great” category. The DNA is there, the experience is enjoyable, but it doesn’t hit the depth or power of the real thing. Still, for the price and the amount you get, it’s a very solid value pickup.

Its a good scent

Ho acquistato questo profumo perché cercavo un dupe del mio amato Black Orchid, e devo dire che questo ci si avvicina veramente tanto. In apertura si sentono note di cioccolato amaro e arancia ( tanto cioccolato e arancia in sottofondo), dopo 15-20 minuti arrivano le prime note speziate, l'orchidea e l'ylang ylang che lo rendono identico al Black Orchid. Nel fondo io riesco a percepire molto bene il patchouli e l'incenso. È un profumo unisex, vero, anche se nell'apertura (a differenza del Black Orchid che al mio naso si apre in maniera più delicata e "femminile" con sentori di fiori e frutta) potrebbe sembrare decisamente maschile. Lasciatelo evolvere sulla pelle e vi renderete conto che sa essere molto femminile e sexy. Non lo indosso tutti i giorni, come non indosso tutti i giorni il black Orchid, perché mi sembrerebbe di sminuire il suo "carattere", così lo riservo a quelle giornate in cui voglio comunicare forza e decisione. In questo mi dona sicurezza, in maniera prorompente e sfacciata. Non è da meno la persistenza, dura 7/8 ore e proietta per 4/5. Quasi come Black Orchid ma ad un quarto del prezzo. Per me è promosso a pieni voti. Ultima nota, pack molto ben fatto, arriva in una confezione insieme ad un deodorante della stessa linea. Super consigliato.

J adore ce parfum, on ne le sent pas très fort soi même mais il paraît que les gens au tour de vous le sentez bien et il est délicieux. Un de mes meilleurs parfum. A acheté les yeux fermés.
