This thing is incredible
After years of experimenting with techniques to peel hard cooked eggs with limited success. I have to say this has to be one of the best kitchen gadgets I have ever used. Anyone that doesn’t give this thing 5stars just isn’t smart enough to read and follow simple directions. It does exactly what it claims to do, makes it easy to peel hard cooked eggs. It doesn’t strip the shells off the eggs you still have to remove them. But it separates the membrane from the egg and the shell peels easy and cleanly. Peeled a dozen eggs in just over 5 minutes. Just follow the cooking instructions that come with it in the box and you’ll end up with near perfect eggs for deviled eggs, egg salad, you name it.

Didn’t work for me!
I was not thrilled with this item. Not sure if you have to put the max eggs in for it to work, but all it did was smash up the boiled eggs, shells and all. I put 3 eggs in and the required amount of water. Eggs are too expensive right now to even try again. Don’t waste your money.

Works well, a real time saver.
First of all, you need fresh eggs, if the eggs aren't fresh nothing works. I stopped using regular (Giant) store bought and found a local source at a small organic market that always has fresh eggs. One of my dogs has liver issues and is on a special diet, lots of soft cooked rice with supplements, 3 whole eggs and four egg whites a day. I make his meals two days at a time so I am peeling 14 eggs every other day. I tweaked the instructions for the egg peeler a bit, I use a little more water, 1/4" above the line, and I shake it vigorously closer to 30 times than only ten. A little more shaking saves time picking at shells. Frequently I can see two-three eggs are peeled completely before I open it. I use it in the sink, over a colander to limit the mess. I run a small stream of water which also helps wash the peels off. I use an instant pot to boil the eggs, 10 minutes on manual with quick release, then put the basket in a large pot of cold tap water - I don't bother with adding ice. I set them on a dish towel for a few minutes to cool and since they are still somewhat warm, the water on the shell quickly evaporates, leaving a surface that can be marked with a magic marker, which won't work on wet or damp eggs. I mark the carton with a HB and put them in the fridge.

This does exactly what it purports. However, with a delicate touch...
I was really surprised by this product, so much so I had to give my two cents. I will say from the outstart, that yes, the product does work. But, it takes a few tries to get the sweet spot. The instructions are very minimal but very intuitive. And the build quality feels very solidly built. It's made from plastic, but extemely durable. . Basically, after boiling your eggs, you place them in cold water (I'd say add ice cubes) for approximately 10 minutes. Afterward, once the eggs are completely cooled, add cold water to the fill line of the Egg stripper, insert up to 5 eggs, close the top, and shake moderately (up and down) 3 to 4 times. And voila! Unshelled eggs or easily removed shelled eggs will appear. At least for me, that's what I experienced the first time. I used 3 eggs. Two were unshelled, one was still shelled somewhat but slid right off when I removed it. Two eggs were perfect, one was slightly mangled, as I shook it too hard and longer than necessary. I think women will have an easier time the first time because men have a tendency to put more muscle than necessary in most things that we do. Each time thereafter using less force and shakes, you find a sweet spot (a happy medium), and unshelled eggs will be the norm whenever you use this product. I absolutely love this thing. It will definitely be on my presents list this Christmas.

GREATEST INVENTION EVER! MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER !
Best $20 I ever spent. I love egg salad.. but always hated picking the shells off the eggs. This makes peeling the eggs a breeze. Put in 4 eggs.. shake 18 to 20 shakes. Shells fall right off the eggs. Put in another 4 eggs.. repeat. Add mayo and voila.. egg salad in no time! I will NEVER be without my egg stripper ever again! This makes it so much easier to peel eggs. Anyone who does not like this product is not using it properly. Following the instructions.. I boiled the eggs longer than normal (12 minutes). Then run cold water over them.. put the cooled eggs in cold water.. add ice cubes.. allow to chill for several minutes. I found that putting 4 eggs in the stripper seems to be the magic number. The first time the top 3 eggs fell right out of their shells (see photos). The second time after about 12 to 14 shakes I opened it up and pulled the bottom egg to the top for another 7-8 shakes. That time all 4 eggs fell right out of their shells as soon as I picked them up.

Surprise, it does not work with brown eggs
It does not work with brown eggs. This is not mentioned in the description. It is noted in the instructions. However, trying to follow the tips given, it still does not work. The shells crack a bit, but are not loosened. Shaking it a bit harder and longer as directed (for brown eggs) will eventually cause the egg to come apart, but with the shell still stuck firm to the pieces. Giant mess. It is sturdy, easy to clean, and would be reasonably easy to use if it worked. For what it is, it seems overpriced.

It's a work in progress
Takes some time to learn the trick but it's not great for my backyard eggs or definitely not quail eggs.

Easy Peasy!
TIME SAVER!! If you properly follow the instructions that were included in the box (egg boiling instructions and ice bath afterward) then it will make using this product easy!! The first time I used it, I did not boil and ice my eggs according to the instructions. The eggs didn't peel as easily and the shell did not completely come off. The second time, it worked like a charm! After you use it once, you'll get the hang of it and learn to fall in love with it. It saved me SO MUCH time peeling eggs and it is extremely easy to wash out. The whole egg peeler isn't huge, so it is easy to store in your kitchen - it would even fit in a pot, crockpot or larger bowl if you were tight on space. I am happy I found this product because we eat boiled eggs weekly.

I love this product. I cook a lot of eggs as snacks, which I keep in the fridge and it’s always annoying having to peel the shells off - and painful to my fingers. TIP: make sure the eggs are hard boiled and cold.

Clever device that simply agitates the egg and mixes it with water to open up the shell. If you know what you're doing could probably use any vessel and make your own. But this works well and isn't expensive. It works better sometimes than others
