UPDATE - 4/11/2024My original review (see below) only gave this stand 3 stars. I had an issue with the design of the ball joint that attached the mic to the stand. I left the exact same review on the BEACN site. The customer support team reached out to me after reading my review and seemed quite surprised at my concerns. They told me that what I experienced was not normal and should not have happened.After just a bit of back & forth, they offered to send out a replacement in exchange for my sending the defective unit back for them to look at.Long story short, they sent me a replacement stand and after setting it up, I experienced none of the same issues. I am now questioning whether my initial issue might have been due to user error when I set it up. I am waiting to hear back from BEACN to see if I can establish whether the mistake may have been mine or if I simply got a defective one. When I hear back, I will update this review.Regardless, once this issue was addressed, this stand became the absolutely perfect stand for my setup. The low profile and swivel design allows me to position the mic when I'm using it without the stand getting in the way of other equipment. It also allows me to swing it completely out of the way when I'm not using it. Setting up for a recording or meeting is now literally as easy a pressing a button to set my lighting and swinging the mic right into position.The build quality is excellent, the motion is smooth and quiet.Finally, sometimes things happen. Whether the ultimate cause was user error or a defective unit, once BEACN was properly aware of the issue, they made it right without any hassle!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I love the overall design on this stand. It's sleek, minimalistic and sturdy overall.So, why only 3 stars? In the end, there's one significant flaw, and it finally reached the point where I simply couldn't use it anymore. The ball joint interface between the mic and the stand. The single screw that locks the ball join in place and interfaces with the stand simply doesn't work well for me. When the screw is tightened, it locks the ball joint well. However, the simple clamshell design that actually attaches to the mic stand itself simply can't hold the mic steady in the vertical. That connection, no matter how tightly I screw things down, can still rotate 180 degrees on the mic stand connection. I position the stand so that I can swing it out of the way when I'm not in a meeting or recording. The process of swinging it back into place often causes the mic to drop down. That even happens if I happen to gently bump the mic or try to reposition the stand more than a fraction of an inch.It's really unfortunate. I like EVERYTHING else about this stand it would be 100% perfect and get 5 stars from me in an instant if this one issue was addressed. However, it's just not usable, and believe me, I tried for nearly four months!

Great price and value. Super sturdy. Easy to adjust. Overly functional microphone stand, yet super simple! Cable management is unmatched too. No need for zipties or adhesives as the cable channel is built into the bottom of the mic stand!I bought this mic stand as I recently discovered BEACN. They make amazing products. I’ve recently purchased this BEACN mic stand, and I couldn't be happier. The installation process was a breeze. Adjusting the stand arm to my preferred height and angle is simple and easy, allowing me to find the perfect position for my podcast recordings. One of the standout features I needed was the ability to swivel the mic arm out of the way when I'm not recording. This flexibility helps keep my workspace organized and clutter-free. I specifically wanted to avoid a traditional mic stand that would take up desk space (as you can see my desk is small). The quality is there; the arm feels very sturdy and is made from high-quality metal. Plus, it matches the black color scheme of my desk.Overall, I recommend the BEACN mic stand and mic for anyone looking for a functional, aesthetic, and space-saving solutions!

Top quality product and if the movement of this stand seems right for you then I would recommend the product highly. No noise when the arms are moved and it has a very long range so the microphone can be out of the way. Easy to tighten the hinges to your Exact needs.

Perfectly adequate stand, but the mounting posts are not industry standard width. You have to use the BEACN mounting hardware, which is not up to professional quality or dimensions. Or, you have to re-drill your table / use the included mount. Disappointing. The overall quality otherwise is better than most cheap models, but the pivoting mic mount is plastic and another disappointment. Basically, this is good for first-time buyers, but it's all bespoke so swapping in other boom stands is not easily done. I wound up having to use the desk clamp, which is not what I wanted to do. This is now a backup stand on day one of arrival.Edit: BEACN followed up with me, and I appreciate that. I decided not to return the product and to use it, as it is a good stand. I just think the mounting post dimensions would ne a nice addition to the product description page.

I bought the beacn mic stand because I also bought the beacn mic. Well, it turns out that the beacn microphone is actually too heavy for the mic stand, so when you attempt to adjust the pivot arm, the weight of the microphone weighs it down and thus you cannot control the height of the arm whatsoever, even at the absolute tightest setting. This leads me to conclude that they either foolishly did not design their arm to hold the weight of their own microphone or their pivot mechanism is defective. Either way, I had to return it. Very disappointing, waste of time. I will be looking for mic stands from other brands.

Motion is limited and the adjustments require the wrench that was included. It does it’s job, but if you move a piece you’ve already tightened, it loosens a lot and needs to be retightened.

I use a rather heavy mic (a Spirit, $200+); this beam holds it without bowing or bending. Feels good to swivel, also.

Great product for the price!

I was worried that it wouldn't be worth the price since it's more than other arms but I have absolutely 0 regrets! It feels very sturdy and the motion is smooth and soundless.Surprisingly, my favorite feature is the cable management. There are no covers to pull off and struggle putting back on. The rubbery "bristles" (pictured) are easy to push the cable through and make adjusting the length such a breeze.It's a premium product that's 100% worth the premium price

I don't expect to pay over £100 for a product and not receive it in mint condition. It was packaged extremely cheaply by Beacn, without any protection and here are the results. I'm absolutely fuming.

I had a more traditional mic arm and it worked well but I always found it sort of cumbersome and in the way. BEACN's low profile mic stand is so much better for me. It's long enough to tuck at the side of my desk and when I am using the mic I don't find the arm to be in the way or blocking my view.The mic holds my Shure MV7 mic and the cable management has no problem holding both an XLR and USB cable.

This is far better than the OC white proboom.I appreciate the riser, how the bottom is silicone that I can push wires in and out of. It’s sleek, matches my desk, and looks clean.Moves smoothly and supports a heavy mic.I think that this is a hidden gem that hasn’t made it to a lot of reviewed lists yet.
