AGPTEK A02 MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.3, 1.8 inch Screen Portable Music Player with Speaker, FM Radio, Voice Recorder, Supports Expanded Up to 128GB(Black, 32GB)

This is a great inexpensive MP3 player! I was looking for a wireless MP3 player to use with Bluetooth earbuds at the gym to replace my ancient iPod nano and wired headphones. I also own a non-Bluetooth version A02S. This player is labeled A02XT on the back, and appears to be a newer version of the model as it had several additional side buttons which do not show in the pictures on the Amazon webpage nor on AGPTEK's website. There are now Volume Up and Volume down buttons on one side, and a Back button on the other side in addition to the 5 buttons shown on the front. These make changing volume and going back one screen so much easier and intuitive than with the prior A02 player on which you needed to manipulate several buttons on the front to go Back one screen or change volume. Bluetooth setup was very easy and haven't had any random disconnects. Sound quality is excellent. Be aware that the volume maxes out when using Bluetooth at a medium loud level, not super loud. You can copy songs from an iTunes playlist to this player, and have it play in the same order by doing a copy and paste (not drag & drop) of songs in the iTunes playlist into one of the Playlists in the folder on the MP3 player which can be seen in the Finder. If you select that Playlist to play songs on the MP3 player, the songs will play in exactly the same order as in your iTunes playlist with no change in sequence. It does take some time to transfer songs from your computer to the MP3 player especially you try to fill all 32GBs with songs. I did cause the player to freeze up when I erroneously pressed the Back and Vol down buttons together. To unfreeze, hold Play/Pause button about 10 seconds, screen goes off, then powers on, and all is good, no loss of files. I haven't tried any of the other capabilities (voice recordings, photos, etc) but I only purchased the player to play songs, and it does this perfectly.

An excellent MP3 player for the price and size. I wanted something small that I can put in my pocket when I walk or sat on my deck with my AirPods. I know I could just use my phone but this player gives me a break from the phone and it has a small screen and buttons. It is perfect for any physical activity and is light as pen... plus it has a micro SD slot. More than enough room for my music collection. I would recommend this for sure! UPDATE a few weeks later, it freezes quite often. It doesn't recognize my sd card at times. I've reformatted it several times and I'm done with that. It is stuck with playing my albums in shuffle mode. It has become very buggy. I don't think I would buy it again if I had to. Don't throw away the packaging or you are stuck with it!!!!

Got this as a cheap MP3 player for workouts and walks, and it does the trick. Don’t go in expecting iPod vibes — no spin wheel, no premium feel, just buttons and a small screen. The body is plastic and feels a little cheap in the hand, and the interface is clunky enough that you’ll spend a minute figuring out where things are. Bluetooth 5.3 connects fine to my headphones and that’s mostly what I care about. Pros: • Affordable, gets the basic job done • Bluetooth 5.3 connects easily and stays connected • Lightweight, easy to toss in a pocket Cons: • Plastic body feels cheap • Interface is clunky and not intuitive • No scroll wheel — button navigation gets old fast Tips: • Load your music in folders, makes it way easier to navigate • Don’t expect iPod build quality at this price point Four stars. Good budget pick if you just want music without your phone.

I bought two by this brand the AGPTEK A02 and the AGBPTEK Touch and I returned both because they equally sucked and ended up frying my brand new SD card. I really liked the look of the touch but I also wanted something with physical buttons that I wouldn't have to look at to skip through songs, but they were both just absolutely terrible. They use the same interface and the sound quality on both was abysmal. When I tried the first device in my car it was so awful I was terrified my speakers got blown out or something because when I tried the second device it was the same - the bass was so buzzy you couldn't understand anything - tested with the same song on both - then I tried my phone bluetooth (again, same song) and it was just fine. I tried them on my earbuds, same issue. I tried adjusting the sound style on the devices and it didn't really make a difference, the only way to listen to either one bearably was to basically adjust the bass on my car settings so low it was practically off and at that level what's the point of listening to music. The speakers on both units were also horrid quality, which didn't matter because I wasn't planning on listening to music on the actual device anyway, but if I had wanted to use it as a backup they aren't worth having as a feature. I checked the SD card on my computer and the songs played fine so it wasn't anything to do with the song quality or the SD card, I was in a crunch about to leave for a road trip and decided to take both of them anyway since it's really what I bought it for, but that turned out to be a mistake. About an hour in while trying to change songs from one playlist to another on the external card as it was playing on the device it froze up and restarted. When it booted back up it was back on the same track and it wouldn't let me go forward/back/switch to anything else it just kept freezing and restarting. I tried the SD card on the other device and it said card not found. Ended up just breaking down and paying for ANOTHER month of Spotify just to get through my trip, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. When I got home I plugged the SD card into my computer and it said it was corrupted, so somehow the player fried my brand new card that I literally just bought to use with it.

Easy to figure out, transferring is also easy however it took a couple of hard resets for it to actually save the music information from my PC into the actual MP3 player. So if you’re invested in having track names, album covers things of that nature, it’ll take a second to figure out. It has a radio feature which is cool and it even has a speaker function, which is also cool, even if the speaker is really not great quality. And there’s no touch screen, which is pretty much entirely what I wanted. So not bad, but not great.

I've had several versions of Agptek since about 12 years ago, when I purchased Agptek A02 (non-bluetooth). Sice then I also bought Agptek A02ST (with bluetooth), and now this one, Agptec A02XT. I also bought Agptek A09X, which I did not like at all, mainly for being too big and too heavy. All of my Agptek A02 models share identical body, and very similar controls and operating system (with minor tweaks). The noticeable improvements from ST to XT version are change from micro USB to USB-C, much more reliable bluetooth connection, and internal memory increased from 16GB to 32GB. I paired 5 different bluetooth headphones and earbuds with it on first attempt, and they all communicate properly with the player to control volume, pause/play/ skip forward or back etc. What I love about Agptek A02 line of products is their small size and light weight (perfect for running and gym), reliability, durability and storage capacity with added external SIMM card. By the way, I stuck a 256GB card full of music in this player, and it read it flawlessly, so the manufacturer's recommendation of up to 128GB is very conservative. All of my music files are in mp3-320kbps format. It can play lossless flac files too, but I see no reason to do it on a portable player of this class. Sound quality is very good, but not HiFi, with some barely audible electronic hiss in the background. I like the controls wheel (it's not a scroll wheel), that you can feel with your fingers, so you can easily operate it in total darkness. And the battery life is absolutely amazing. I find the user interface easy to use, although definitely old school. So, if you are not comfortable with organizing your files in folders, copying them from a PC, and browsing through them, this player may be not for you. In summary, for under $30 (plus whatever you choose to pay for the SIMM card), it is a bargain.

I bought this after other more expensive MP3 players failed. After the SanDisk MP3 players I had purchased were never able to Bluetooth sync with my wireless Sony headphones - despite their claiming they could - I purchased the Makita MP3 player thinking that the brand name meant quality. Wrong - it also could not Bluetooth sync. So thinking Bluetooth syncing was a lost cause, I instead purchased the cheapest one of the lot, which at the time was the AGPTEK A02 MP3 Player, and was even on sale with a discount. So relegated to assuming it too was a false claim about Bluetooth syncing, I assumed I'd just use the 3.5 mm connector. Much to my surprise, it synced better than any other MP3 player or other devices. It also had a generous 32 Gb built-in memory with the capability of adding another 128 Gb through its card slot (not included). It took a while to become familiar with the interface. You can only see an internal folder hierarchy (ergo, Windows Explorer kind of thing), once you download them to the built in memory. The good news was that I was able to find videos and self-help tutorials on the Internet, which is rare among electrical products from China. It of course is not as bodacious as, say, a larger iPod, but given my needs and budget, it's perfect. I've now had it a couple of months and it's still working great. And no, this is *not* a fake post - I really DO like this MP3 player, and will probably get another as backup.

i purchased this because i was looking for a cheap mp3 to listen to audio books on and boy was i disappointed... it technically does everything it advertises but the buttons press way too easy and make a lot of noise when pressed and not the satisfying clicky noise but like squeaks and cheap plastic. the buttons pushing this easily make it hard to pocket without activating or canceling an action and the on/off switch also pushed easily while trying to retrieve the player from my pocket. while that was something i did, i had to intentionally dodge that button when reaching for it or risk shutting off the player unintentionally. there is not a close screen button like to go to the standby screen to see the time. locking the buttons just prevents other buttons from taking effect. as such it is an unreliable time piece which is one function i needed it for. the menu is non intuitive. it seems straight forward on the front-end, but it took a while to figure out how to leave the book i was listening to without closing out the player, and when the screen goes to sleep per its timer, the player would stop my book. still haven't figured that one out one hundred percent. positives! it does have a good blue tooth function. easy to use and connect too. but had connection problems when the device would go to sleep. might be user error. device has sound jack and speaker. speaker isn't peak quality but i didn't expect it to have one and it works well enough for what it is. device has physical on/off switch, no press and hold garbage for power. conclusion. while it technically qualifies as a budget option media player, the device is not as easy to use as other budget alternative devices.

Está bastante bien el mp3, la verdad si me sorprendió. El sonido se escucha muy bien con los audífonos, ya sin ellos la calidad si no es la mejor, pero es aceptable. Pensé que sería un poco más grande, pero está perfecto de ese tamaño. Si lo recomiendo si no quieres gastar en productos tan caros como los de Sony :v, además de si solamente quieres escuchar música sin tener que pagar nada. Eso si, no he probado el bluetooth porque la verdad no me interesa ya que prefiero audífonos de cable.

Bit small but my 9 year old loves it, ear phones aren’t any good for kids , recommend to buying headphones. Easy to handle, good products and fast delivery
