Great lighter. Larger arc!
This is a very good lighter. I have several arc lighters. Most of them have some point I like a lot. But this one has a couple things that stick out for me. First, it feels heftier than the others. The only thing I can think of for extra weight is a heavier battery. Which, as with all electronic devices, means longer use between charges. I charged it from 50% to full in under an hour. The one thing different with this one is that is charges with a C type USB connection. No big deal, because it comes with a C charge cable included. But if you have your "favorite" micro USB charger, just know it won't work. I have to admit, though, I am liking the C type better because there is no upside down way to insert the plug. Might seem like a minor thing unless you are like me and hate the puzzle of getting a micro into the plug. Another thing I really like about this lighter is that the switch to turn it on is a positive press-click button. Seems like many arc lighters have a touch-sensitive on/off button. Another plus is that when you let go, the arc goes off. And it will come right back on with a push rather than having to close the lid and reopen it--a hassle I don't care for. Upon opening the lid, it has the standard battery meter; 25, 50, 75, and 100% on the front just under the ignite switch. You won't get that from a Zippo. My usage for lighters is mostly for lighting sticks of incense, and this works great for that. But the one thing this one will do that I have so far NOT been able to do with other arc lighters is to light a pipe. The arc is wider than most and the posts are a little taller and enables the arc to be "sucked down" into the bowl to light the pipe. To pipe smokers, this is a great improvement for arc lighters. Of course, it will do all the normal things one might use a lighter for: cigarettes; piece of paper to light the trash; or lighting some wood shavings to start a campfire. And the larger arc will easily light a candle if your electricity goes out. I purchased the black lighter. It is also available in the multi-color style, too. I know the vendor for these and he is very trustworthy and accommodating if, for some reason, you have a problem. A couple years ago, I had a problem with a different style lighter and the readout. They took care of it immediately. I have said before that customer service is EVERY bit as important as the quality of the product itself. So, if you are in need of a lighter and would like to get away from the messy filling of fluid lighters or just don't want to fill the landfills with more plastic Bics and Crickets, this will be a great unit for you to own. Keep breathin' folks.

Dropped it once and now it won't charge...
Worked great until I dropped it once when I was pulling it out of my pocket. Now it wont charge. Edit - Probably the best customer service out of any of the companies on Amazon. Without even saying anything to them they got me new working lighter within a couple days. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Great lighter, works in the wind, rain etc, holds a good charge and looks cool too. Love that it's a type C charger too so don't have to carry another cord.

Doesn't work
I got to light 1 incense stick then it never worked again. Feels nice and sturdy and nice finish but unfortunately it no longer lights. If I stick something conductive between the posts it will arc for a second but then goes back out. The posts are clean still. Battery has and will take charge but unfortunately will not light 😒 Money down the toilet

high tech lighter for the modern age
I'm a huge fan of this type of plasma lighter that has a thick arc. I've been using one for the past 2 yrs, an older style that has a micro USB port on it that you can also see in my video. These thick arc plasma lighters can be hit or miss as far as getting a good one. So far, this one seems to be a hit. The lighter body is nice and solid, identical in size and shape to my old one. The gloss black color is a fingerprint magnet but compared to the colorful version, it has a more subtle look. This lighter has a USB C charge port which is a nice upgrade from my old lighter with micro USB. Hopefully the USB C port will be more durable than the flimsy micro USB. As far as battery life, it has been good, it also seems to suffer from the same phantom power drain that my older lighter also had. When you use the lighter a lot in a short period of time, it will appear to drain the battery quickly (going down 1-2 battery bars). It's really just the battery indicator not being able to keep up and showing less power than it really has. If you let it rest for several minutes, it'll show the correct battery amount. These are best used in short bursts and allowing it to rest between uses, it takes a lot of power (and stress on parts) to form and maintain the plasma arc.

Great lighter
There's not much to say; a lighter is good if it works and bad if it doesn't. This lighter works, and it works great. It works in windy conditions. The arc can reach the inside of bowls with no issues. There's no residual taste of lighter fluid. A full charge doesn't last as long as a traditional lighter full of fluid, but charging it is way more convenient and less messy than refilling lighter fluid and less wasteful than disposing and buying new. Biggest risk: this lighter is cool, and people will want to use it. Borrow it. Forget to return it. Keep an eye on it.

Awesome lighter, real warranty, awesome customer service, will buy more!!!
I ordered this lighter about 2 weeks ago. Loved it initially but i noticed something off with the “100” power indicator light. In charge mode, when it indicated full battery the 100 indicator was on. But in usage 75, 50, and 25 were the only indicators lit. Sent a message to the seller (per the warranty) and within a few days a replacement was sent, along with a secondary piece (no cost to me). First off I still loved the initial purchased product even with a small malfunction. The replacements were even better. They work perfectly and had no issues. I use the lighter quite a bit and charge every 2-3 days for less than an 1hr tops. When I’m using it sparingly, charge can last up to 2 weeks. I would recommend purchasing the Big Arc lighter. Definite high value for a inexpensive USB lighter.
