I'm always a little wary of buying generic products, but this time I have to say it worked very well — I didn't even have to set it up; I just took it out of the box and it worked right away.

Much better than the Angrox brand I had bought earlier that had problems. This one works, though it has a strange thing about it: bluetooth works for everything except the power button! So you have to aim the remote at the TV for power cycling, unlike the original remote from Samsung. But otherwise it is a good remote that has been reliable for me for weeks now.

I got the Big Button model for my elderly mom. After initial set up it worked okay, but the channel up/down buttons weren't responding perfectly. Then I followed the instructions for how to refine the remote by training it to mimic the original tv remote -- after this tune up the channel button issues were resolved. I'm very happy with the purchase. The simple design and large button makes it easy for my mom to use.

I bought this remote because we use an antenna and I needed the numerical keypad to select local stations which the original remote doesn’t have, the big plus I found is now I have a remote and so does my wife so either of us can change the volume level or station when we want.

Although this is advertised for roku ultra, this remote will NOT pair to ultra model 4660x2, so can not be added as new remote or set up to control non-roku TV. It does power roku on, & left right functions work, but that is all.

Worked great at first! Easy to set up too. But it’s only been about 3 months and started having issues. Certain buttons don’t respond. Thought it was bad batteries, put new ones in and still have issues. Acts like it’s having a bad connecting with the buttons. After doing the ol slap the remote trick it sometimes gets it to work. Pretty silly that it’s already started to not work after 3 months..

I'd been searching for a new Blu-ray player since my old one died an untimely death. Perusing a surplus shop the other day and came across a great little Samsung BD-J5700 unit, and because it's remote was missing, I picked it up for a song. It's always a bit of a gamble when buying replacement remotes, sometimes they work, or only some of the functions work, or they don't work at all. I'm happy to report that the Gvirtue AK59 is an excellent replacement unit for my "new to me" player. The remote also includes buttons to control a Samsung brand smart TV. Though I have not had a chance to test out the TV buttons as I don't own a Samsung TV. Otherwise all Blu-Ray functions work perfectly. Your mileage may vary depending on your model of Samsung device, though I would assume if your unit isn't too old, it should work. For the price it's a fairly low risk test. Construction seems solid, buttons have a good press feel to them, albeit button clearance is a little tight and if you've got big fingers it might be more difficult for you. Though most controllers these days have this problem. Runs on two AAA batteries. Back is curved instead of being flat, which makes it easier to hold. There is an indentation for your forefinger about 2/3 of the way up. Signal strength is decent, I tested from about 15 feet in a bright room, and an angle of up to about 45 degrees from centre. Reading through some of the other reviews that gave the unit 1 star. It seems that some people seem to think this is a universal remote, that can be programmed. It is not a programmable remote. It's a simple 1 to 1 replacement. You simply insert batteries and it works. No manual required, no setup required. Also, the ad lists the exact models of Samsung player that work with it so if your device is not on the list, it may not work. Can't fault it for that. I will of course update this review if I have any issues after months of use.

Buttons are clicky but I like that better than the mushy buttons from the original. Overall the remote control works great and is a good replacement. I would have no problem recommending this to replace your original remote that no longer works.
