CRYSTAL Deodorant Mineral Deodorant Stick, Travel, 1.5 Ounce

I have used this product for 15 years. I very rarely have any body odor even when I hike, camp, kickboxing, etc. lt lasts for a long time. It’s super cost effective. No aluminum.

I've used these for years. This one is smaller than expected and not as good a bang for your buck. But I have sensitive underarms and these work great. Oder free. I love how they are all natural and have no cancer causing or hormone disrupting chemicals. They work at keeping you fresh all day.

This is a travel-size deODORant, not an antiperspirant. People, read before you buy something. If you want to be healthy and live longer, let your body do its natural thing. If you want to stop sweat, this is not for you. Sweat doesn’t stain clothes, the antiperspirant you sweat off does. With that being said, this doesn’t drain your clothing. With ladies having more skin in the front private area, I was smelling for no reason down there midday. I don’t know what was up and neither did the doc. I’m 29 and it just started happening. Figure it’s my hormones. Either way, I had my husband do a smell test after using this, and it was as if he had Covid or something because he couldn’t smell any funk on my nether regions. My underarms were stink-free too.To use: Only works on CLEAN skin. Not dirty skin. Use it after a shower a bath please, or it won’t work. Wet the crystal a little and rub it on the usual stinky areas. I wet mine a few times if I wasn’t done. Let the crystal air dry before you put the cap on (only takes about 30 seconds to a minute). Safe to rub everywhere on your body because it’s a natural mineral. Don’t put anything inside of any holes, but it is safe for butt cracks and everywhere outside of the uterus (vag). Works for men, too.This is not sticky, does not stain clothing, and is safe for sensitive skin. I have very sensitive skin. I can’t even wear a lot of makeup, perfumes, or use many well-known body washes. I’ll break out. My body told me when I was younger to stay away from harmful products with artificial and toxic ingredients, so take it from me and all the other reviewers. Less is best! :)

Update 5/23/18: I still use the crystal most days. I've been using another deodorant when it's hot or I'm exercising because it falls a bit short for me there. I plan to try another natural deodorant soon to see if it's an improvement over the crystal. That being said, this little thing has really lasted. I dropped my crystal a ways back and a piece broke off. I don't recall what I used, but I just sanded off the rough edges and after a few weeks or so the end was nice and rounded again. The same travel crystal is still working for me even though it's been almost 2 years. I wash the end off with Dr. Bronners every once in a while, just cause.Finally! A natural deodorant that works! I wanted to find an alternative to my chemical laden antiperspirant and first tried Lavanila Vanilla Grapefruit Deodorant. It smelled pretty good, but didn't work for me at all. After just an hour or so of not even doing much I could faintly smell myself through the perfumey smell. Gross. I gave up on finding a natural deodorant for a while after that until I kept reading about backpackers using Crystal Deodorant and having great success. With a backpacking trip coming up I figured I'd give it a try. Worst case scenario I smell while out in the woods, big deal. After testing it out the day I got it (and continuously doing smell checks on myself throughout the day) I couldn't smell anything! You still sweat some, as it's not an antiperspirant, but there is literally no smell at all. You have to use it properly though. It's not like normal deodorant where you give a swipe or two and you're good. After my shower in the morning I towel off leaving my underarms still a little damp. Then I apply the crystal to my underarms until they become dry and there is friction between the crystal and your skin. If you already dried yourself off, you can put a drop or two of warm water on it and do the same. The more water the more time it takes to rub it on til it's dry though. I got the travel size to save weight and space backpacking, but seeing as it doesn't really wear down at all it should last a really long time. I'm just happy to finally find a natural deodorant that works.

Incredibly impressed with both the product itself and how it arrived. It is always a gamble ordering toiletries on line but this one arrived perfectly. Unscented deodorant was fantastic and very smooth with wet skin. Will continue ordering from this supplier and from the brand. Thank you!

I was very suspicious that so many people rated this rock so well, so I tested it out, looking for more natural alternatives when my homemade paste experiment failed. The first week I used this, I did not swipe the wet crystal under each armpit for very long, and sure enough, after a little sweat, odor came right back, so I stopped using it for months and tried other sprays.I came back to it again, seeing that I may have needed more swipes, and wetting the end, swiped for a solid 30 seconds per armpit until it was dry. The second time, it was more effective. I used it daily for several months, but in conjunction with an essential oil/grain alcohol spray after I would sweat a fair amount and that seemed to do the trick. I do occasionally use it alone, and it works reasonably well on its own. Initially, sweat is completely odorless. But keep sweating for 3 hours straight, and it won’t hold up as well. I work in a profession where I sweat ongoing out of a small amount of physiological arousal/anxiety due to presentations, and after the work day is done, I’ve sweated off whatever barrier was there, hence why I use a deoderant spray after sweating for awhile if I am on the job.I am very skeptical of the folks who say it lasts 24 hours. They must not be sweating ongoing. When it’s cold out and I’m not working, the stick is adequate protection from body odor. But come high pressure situations, exercise, heat, etc., or if you sweat more due to perimenopause, this isn’t the miracle deoderant that it’s made out to be. You will still smell a little if you sweat a lot throughout the day. If you never sweat, this would work perfectly.I should not my crystal broke after using regularly, and I doused it with a lot of water when I’d swipe, and over time, the stick started shrinking. I eventually accidentally broke it, but it was already slipping around in the plastic holder from getting smaller. I bought a new one that you can see in the photos for comparison. Don’t douse the stock with water all over—just a little water on the top will do and perhaps prevent the shrinking around the plastic holder.My skin gets a bit itchy/dry from it during dryer seasons, but I don’t get rashes. If you shave your armpits, though, it stings just a little right afterward.It is somewhat effective. When I’m not working, it’s sometimes sufficient protection for the day of if I don’t sweat too much. Other days, I have to give my pits a spray 3-4 hours after applying the stick if I sweat a lot. It’s okay, in sum. Not a perfect solution or miracle, though.

Best product for odor control without irritation.

Compared to other deodorants, it doesn't stain my clothes, so I've been using it for years.

its perfect like straight out of a dream even if it looks pretty small it actually lasts a while we talking years here and then it actually lasts MORE than 24 hours doesnt give a bad smell(unless you dont wash it) it literally has 0 bad ingredients and for the price its like im getting a peice of heaven for free, now if the smell persists you can perfume of your liking in the cover and and put the deodorant back in and boom best cheapest most insane quantity and quality deadront ever

Aplique o cristal molhado em TODA a extensão das axilas, e não apenas onde tem pelos. Aplique o cristal molhado tbm nas áreas adjacentes da axila aonde o suor pode "escorrer". Lembrando que as partículas de cristal precisam entrar em contato com o suor para que façam o efeito de anular o cheiro. Exato: você continua transpirando, mas o suor não tem cheiro. O cristal não é antitranspirante; as partículas de cristal reagem com o suor fazendo com que as moléculas de odor não seja liberadas. Eu amo esse produto. Compraria novamente.

Works excellently for sensitive skin. I’ve had no bad reactions at all and the protection lasts all day. Unfortunately due to the nature of the thing, if you don’t dry it properly after use then the Crystal soon falls out of its holder. That doesn’t render it unusable but it does make it a little awkward to use as you have to hold the bare Crystal when applying.Update: decided to upgrade my review to 5 stars based purely on value. I’ve been using the same crystal for almost 2 years! Still a bit left to go. Still working perfectly with absolutely no irritation and great odour protection! What a find this was!
