This board is silvery NOT WHITE. Still looks good though. Value for the money I’d say it’s whatever. All the other z790 boards are at this price or lots higher but this is enough board me. I’m not into overclocking the cpu for any reason whatsoever. But I probably could without issues if I wanted to. (Maybe) I got this to pair with an i7-14700k and I was glad it works without problems. Although once I installed the cpu and board and everything else I did have to update the bios to get Xmp stable @6400. Graphics cards and m.2- (What gigabyte DOESNT list about this product) If you install an m.2 in the top slot and a graphics card in the top slot it cuts the lane down to x8. And if you do install an m.2 in the top slot and a gpu in the top pci lane you’re either gonna have bad performance in games or your computer may not even do anything but give a black screen. Restart , and show the blue screen of death. That’s happened to me before. (Nice going gigabyte) So the top m2 being gen5 is useless if your a gamer. You want the gpu to be in the top pci slot and run at full speed. So to get your performance you have no choice but to put your m.2 in the lower slots (which run at gen 4 speeds) and gpu in the top pci slot. That should be known on gigabytes specs but it isn’t .

Original board arrived DOA. Called phone support and got right in. waiting time less than 2 minutes. Was told to return to amazon and get replacement. Replacement arrived the next day. Board booted flawlessly. Detected my 6800 Mem without issue. Board looks great in my custom case.

Love this board, looks great, works great, i like the bios layout etc. MAKE SURE TO FLASH YOUR BIOS IF YOU HAVE a 13-14th gen INTEL cpu!!

This motherboard is quality feeling, the placement of the headers is truly genius, this is my second build with a new gigabyte board and I am very satisfied with their attention to detail as well as their build quality. What I’m not impressed with is the complete lack of a manual, or any kind of gigabyte stickers or badges, people wanna show off what’s inside their stuff. Otherwise 10/10, buy it now

I bought this motherboard for an Intel i7 13700K CPU and installed 64 Gigs of memory. If you plan to use XMP to automatically overclock your memory, I've read that you will have MUCH BETTER luck by using only 2 RAM sticks and not installing 4. So get as much memory as you need in two sticks. Sometime down the road, Gigabyte may issue a bios update that solves this, but I never count on companies fixing their issues promptly. For those looking for fast memory that looks amazing (RGB) and works 100% with this motherboard, try these: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MHz CL30 Intel XMP iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - White (CMH64GX5M2B6000C30W) Excellent for overclocking, I achieved 6Ghz, but I backed it down to 5.8Ghz for longevity. I tend to build a new PC every five years or so, and I was happy with my last build, which had an Aorus motherboard, so I decided to stay brand loyal. So why four stars and not 5? Because Gigabtye (makers of Aorus products) has decided to skimp on the sound. If you have surround sound speakers, they want you to disable your mic input and your front headphone jack, and stretch wires from the rear of your case to the front, and to top it all off, the sound is horrible! So I had to spend extra on a sound card, and of course, I went with a tried and true Sound Blaster model that was white and looks amazing. Now my sound is perfect, and if this becomes a trend on future motherboards, I can bring my sound card. I was a little leery of buying this during Black Friday sales week because there was only one review, and they gave it 1 star for no reasoning. But I looked at the non-ice" model (meaning it is not white/silver like this one), and it seemed pretty solid. You will note the motherboard is NOT pure white, like the case, fans, or liquid cooler, but is more silver/white. I knew this going in, and I am okay with it. I think it reflects the RGB fans I put in my case nicely. My last Aorus motherboard (z370, btw) had many more RGB colors, but the only thing that lights up on this motherboard are the four small lights under the chipset. They have another ICE board with more RGB if you want to spend twice as much money. (Motherboards are already overpriced these days) Regarding M2 slots, put your fastest NVME in the top slot, just under the CPU. The motherboard provides a nice heatsink for it here, but it's all passive, as there is no fan on it. You have three more slots for a total of 4 M2s, of which I have filled all of mine, and this is my first PC without a single hard drive installed or a 2.5-inch Sata SSD. According to the book (which does NOT come with the motherboard; you need to download it from their website. Prices are up on motherboards, and they cut the sound and don't give you a driver disc or a booklet, go figure), NOTE: Only one slot (nearest the bottom) allows for SATA m2. The others are all NVME only. This worked out perfectly for me, as I had 3 Samsung NVME (990 PRO, 980 PRO, and 960 EVO) and one Samsung 860 EVO, which is sata3.

Still works with my 13900m and ram speed of 7200 stable a year later.

un poco molesto por haber venido incompleto ya que no tiene su driver en DVD o USB, pero me contacto los de GIGABYTE AMAZON al momento y me dieron una solución y hay estoy resolviendo le falta mucho todavía a esta placa base detalles como la pantalla digital de errores y que da hasta la temperatura también el sistema de control center es muy pobre en aplicaciones otras marcas por el mismo precio y menos tienen más prestaciones, el lugar del primer sdd M.2 esta muy pegado al pcie de la tarjeta gráfica y no deja maniobrar bien no tiene al lado de la conexión de 24 pin de la corriente que viene de la fuente un lugar para poner o conectar un o dos fan ventilador mucho espacios que se pudieran aprovechar y así no concentrarlos todos en la parte inferior y hacer más difícil conectar si tienes la tarjeta gráfica vertical bueno en fin para que seguir si al final nunca escuchan a los clientes ojala HICIERAN UNA PLACA WHITE EN SU TOTALIDAD SIN NADA DE OTRO COLOR SERIA YO SU COMPRADOR NUMERO UNO

As the title states, I received a dead board. CPU debug light remains solid orange and won’t post. Ran through troubleshooting and swapped out parts that narrowed it down to the board. CPU works in another z790 board as well as ram and GPU.

Don't buy this motherboard I only use it for 3 month and suddenly it stopped working after that I sent it to service centre for repair after that they said the motherboard is dead

Motherboard is excellent and perfect and very easy to build.. highly recommend.. The price is good and very good experience with Motherboard and Gigabyte Aorus too
