Marion Hair Color Shampoo in Sachet Lasting 4-8 Washes - 51 - Light Pearl Blonde

I wanted to wait a while before reviewing to make sure there’s longevity of the colour and if it’s truly suitable on Afro textures or if it was better suited to straight/European hair as shown on the packaging. Anyone with experience or knowledge on genuine type 3C to 4C Afro hair textures will know it doesn’t need a 15 step cgm routine with layers upon layers of products and scrunching, plopping, flipping and diffusing just for the ‘curls’ to fall and the hair to revert back to being straight within 24 hours. Afro hair will maintain its natural curl as long as the hairs in good health and isn’t over processed or manipulated and my curls/coils haven’t changed with this compared to using a box dye that loosened up my curl pattern and needed protein treatments to restore it or adore that left my hair crunchy and dry. This Marion shampoo colour feels just like a conditioning agent on my hair, when applied to my damp hair it curls up as if I’d put a conditioner in, I was surprised yet very delighted at this effect considering that the packaging makes no reference to Afro hair as the packaging shows a woman with straight hair. This is officially my new holy grail, it’s a quarter of the price I was paying for my last semi permanent colour that made my hair so dry and stiff, it lasts ten times longer, doesn’t transfer onto fabrics, better value for money and the quality is absolutely superb and the best I’ve used and I’ve been dying my hair since 2009! These colours come out even and don’t have green undertones or stain it like henna dyes and it’s not chemically processing my hair with every application so saves me from damaging my curls/coils! I wish I’d found this product years ago but I’m delighted to have found it now! It’s very difficult to find good quality products that are both affordable and effective on Afro hair as they just aren’t moisturising or thick enough in consistency to coat the curls/coils and Afro targeted products and brands are changing ingredients to suit loose non-Afro hair textures whilst the prices skyrocket going up to ten times more than the cost of one Marion packet, so it’s VERY challenging to find that holy grail when you have a certain hair type but this Marion dye is extremely effective at depositing an even beautiful colour. It has a decent amount of slip to it to easily work through the strands and coat them adequately. Since Afro hair has fewer cuticle layers along strands that protect and seal the cortex of the hair, it can be very prone to damage from even minor hair treatments, the fewer cuticles are great for absorbing water/moisture/colours into the cortex but this leaves the strands open so moisture and colour soaks in wonderfully but exits the hair strands just as easily as it’s absorbed which makes it hard to maintain coloured hair but this product gets the job done and LASTS, it’s not like some dyes that’s very intense either bright or dark at first and you have to let it fade or shampoo lots to look tone it down, Marion dye looks settled from the first application and maintains the look, even with sulphate shampoo and heat styling my hair! It’s hardly faded and I only left the product in for 25-30 minutes compared to the recommended 45 minutes. I’ve recommended this to all my friends and family that colour their hair and I don’t ever plan on switching to another colour brand now I’ve found that holy grail that’s super affordable and the quality is unmatched and for such a low price with one packet being enough to coat my bra strap length curly hair that’s a super bargain!

These sachets of shampoo work extremely well. I have used the Claret shade. They are a bit fiddly to use initially and can be messy if you don't take time to apply, but with added gloves included you don't encounter staining of your skin. The coverage of colour is effective and your hair is left soft after use. Due to the current pandemic I had not been to a hairdresser in such a long time, these shampoos have given my hair the depth of colour and condition I would of received at a fraction of the price if I had been to the salon. If you have long hair as I do, simply use two sachets to begin with and adjust further treatments if your colour fades. You will achieve well coloured hair with no harsh effects or residue that hair dye can often leave behind and no stained scalp. There are no roots of grey appearing as I have found many hair dyes over the years tend to show after several weeks. They cover grey hair very well and your hair is left shiny and manageable once dried. I left the shampoo on for forty minutes in my first use, it really worked well and fully covered my entire head of hair even though I have long hair. Top up your colour as needed after your initial application. After several weeks and washing the colour of my hair is still vibrant and rich. I would definitely recommend these products to others. Try them for yourself and you shouldn't be disappointed!

​​I’ve docked one star immediately because this product arrived without a leaflet or any instructions. For a hair dye - where a patch test is essential - that is a significant oversight. ​ After 12 years of being bleach blonde, I decided it was time to be red again. My hair was getting brittle, and quite frankly, I was tired of seeing my mother’s reflection every time I looked in the mirror! My hairdresser applied a dark toner to prep my hair for a permanent red, but it quickly faded into a dull, lifeless brown. ​I needed something "cheap and cheerful" to tide me over until my next salon appointment, and this sachet ticked every box. My process & results: ​Application: After using a clarifying shampoo, I applied about a third of the sachet to my short hair. ​Timing: I left it on for five minutes. ​Mess factor: I wore gloves and was pleased to find zero staining in the shower or on my skin/ears. ​Coverage: The "lengths" of my hair look great with no patchiness. However, it didn't take as well to the "virgin" salt and pepper hair at the back or around my ears. Bonus: No colour deposited on my white pillows overnight. I couldn't tell you about my hair towel as I used a black one. ​ I bought the Aubergine (which I used for the photos) and the Red Wine. These will be perfect for maintenance once I go permanently red, as we all know how fast that fades. At three uses per sachet for my hair length, the value is unbeatable. Just be careful with the lack of instructions!

Zero stars! Awful. I was growing out my grey & thought this would help the transition. It had been 4-months so had a 2-3 inches of natural & grey before the line where I had dyed it previously. I only used this dye on the uncoloured/untreated roots. I bought a coffee colour/dark brown. I went completely ginger!!!!!! A month on & hair is still stained!! Has not washed out Awful product

Quite a messy formula, would recommend wearing gloves even though not a supplied, as it does dye your hands. Mine never quite reached the foam that it describes, it felt more like a dye on my hair. That said, it has come out with a lovely rich tint of colour which is what I was after. If you just leave it for 25 minutes, it acts like a toner. Good price

I’m 50+ and have naturally blonde, thick, wiry/wavy hair, which I have highlighted twice a year. I’ve never tried any other colour at all - and certainly not at home. But, under this lockdown period, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I took this as my chance to do something different! I’ve always fancied aubergine coloured hair. I read the reviews on this product and looked directly at their website. The pack is written in Polish but the website is English. I was reassured by all my research that it was a kind-to-hair product and would wash out. So, I bought two packs (sachets) of Aubergine. Application was straightforward - shampoo hair, rinse well, and apply product (I used both sachets). I used different plastic gloves to the ones they supplied. The colour lathered up well and I made sure every area was well massaged. After that, I put on a disposable plastic shower cap (to help protect my dark towel) and wrapped hair up, waiting for a full 40 minutes. Rinsing until the water ran clear took an absolute age with my hair. I had to do it in two goes, with a rest inbetween. I was also worried I was washing out the whole colour - but I needn’t have worried! I followed with copious amounts of conditioner. So, although my hairdresser can’t give me her usual blow dry and finish, I’ve managed to produce a reasonable style. AND I’m delighted with the colour! The ends are a bit lighter, because some product came off on the towel during the waiting period. (I got towel in the wash quickly afterwards and it’s all come out.) Overall I’d recommend this product for its colour depth, ease-of-use, and value for money. Of course, I’ve yet to see how long the colour lasts and how it looks as it fades. I’ll update you!

I love this product! A little bit goes a very long way, so it's easy to save a few drops in the sachet to re-do stubborn stragglers around my hairline, a few days later. The colour is exactly like the pic on the sachet (I use Aubergine), although is slightly more intense when I leave it on for 45min, rather than 20! My white/grey roots grow through faster than the colour fades, so I sometimes do a fortnightly, half-sachet top up on my parting & temples because this dye shampoo is so easy to use & leaves my hair in good condition!

I was not expecting much because the price was low but I'm delighted I bought 4 in cherry red my hair is dark brown and fine shoulder length and just wanted the greys gone at top it covered all greys it came with instructions and gloves I would recommend..

Nice colored shampoo, on my hair a little bit darker that on the picture. Depends on your natural color. The hair becaming shiny and nice looking, lightly covering the gray hair (the same color but a little bit more light). Getting washed away with time. Good experience, I like it very much. Can't dye the hair with traditional hair color, so for it's ideal solution
