Jonard Tools JIC-2030 Wire Stripper and Cutter, 20-30 AWG, 6-3/4" Length, Black Oxide Finish

I needed an affordable wire stripper for thin wires, an issue I face when repairing old battery operated mechanical toys fro the seventies. [+] Very high quality. Works perfectly each time. Feels great and light. Fits well in hand. [-] Nothing I disliked. Had researched a lot on amazon and ebay and most options were high cost/slow to arrive. This one turned out to be just perfect and arrived within a couple of days. Only feedback is to seller+amazon - it was after many searches that one day I suddenly saw this.

Good value, useful product, seems durable

Basic wire stripping for thin electronics wire. I like them and they work well even down the smallest wire I have tested. They cut well to and are sharp. They fit the hand well and I enjoy using them. I use them often.

I found this stripper and cutter extremely easy to use due to the size and weight thus making for a reliable addition to anyone’s tool box.

I've never had a set of wire strippers before but got sick of trying to strip 28 awg wire with a stanley blade. These are well worth £10, wish I'd have bought them sooner. They make life so much easier and give nice clean strips even on thin wire.

Really happy with these wire strippers, very well made and look great.

They're good and they definitely do the job on the small guage wire from 20 to 30 AWG as specified, but the spring which pushes the handles back out after you make a clip needs to be stronger. A shot of WD40 has improved the action, but the spring needs to be stronger.

In the past I used a spring loaded wire stripper contraption I used for speaker wires and network cables. It was less reliable and more difficult to use than this tool. The elegance of this wire stripper is in the simplicity. I can quickly cut a cable and strip a wire (without loosing copper strands) very easily and, reliably. The length the the stripping is also more consistent then the contraption I had in the past. The wires are <= 20 gauge. The spring loaded contraption might be better suited to larger wires than this tool is designed for.

It's a Jonard tool and they are excellent. What more can I say? Do they make anything poorly? I have had excellent results with all of their tools for both copper and fiber optics. This is specifically a stripper for fine copper wire, 20-30AWG. I use it for the 28AWG wires on small Li Ion batteries to attach the JST2.0 connection for my projects. It cuts the insulation accurately without nicking the conductors and that's exactly what's needed.
