Works perfectly and without drama
Excellent quality, works perfectly out of the box. Took less than 5 minutes to set up without any drama. Used to track backpack on international flight. Showed bag location. It was delayed, but the knowledge it was there somewhere took the anxiety out of the wait, and I could sit back and relax without having to maniacally check each bag and only pay attention when it's close. I was tempted to trigger the alarm in the tag, but thought it might be unsettling to have luggage "alarming".... Tag survived with no damage.

Find your keys or even your suitcase!
I really like these, ideal to pop one in your suitcase and when you land you know your luggage has also made it. Also handy to put on car keys so you can find them or on your kids keys. Battery life a year and a half to two years, Batteries can be replaced easily with the CR2032 being cheap and available most places.

Good but....!!
I got a 4 pack of these tags. I've just spent 3 and a half hours non-stop being guided by Gemini AI and have only just got the first tag working properly, and I will say it now does the job it's made to do brilliantly. Now I'm 1 and a half hours into setting up the second tag with the help of Gemini and still it is not connecting to my Z Fold 7 properly. Why should you make these things so complicated and you don't even provide any instructions. The AI has guided me through umpteen different methods to try and make these work. How much time should I waste on these things. I will now look for another alternative and return these. Edit: Well, after about 7 hours of frustration, Gemini AI and myself now have 4 fully working Smart Tags. I just can't believe it took that long and it really shouldn't. I think one of the many problems may have been that the supplied button batteries have a bitter coating to deter toddlers from eating them. I used Isopropyl alcohol in the end to wipe off the coating and everything was a bit slicker with better battery contact. I've upgraded from 1 star to 4 stars since despite the setup problems, the trackers now work perfectly and track down to within 1 metre accuracy, and if I missplace my phone, I can make that ring from any of the trackers, even if it is set to silent. Setup was a pain but I have to admit they now work perfectly.

Brilliant tracker (Only if you own a Samsung phone)
I already own a Galaxy SmartTag 2 and have had it on my keys for over a year. As I’m prone to misplacing things, I decided it would be useful to have even more. I now have one in my car, one on my car keys, one on my house keys, and a spare for valuable items like my instrument. The four-pack offers great value for money, and by snagging it on a deal, it works out much cheaper than buying individual tags. They are extremely easy to use and set up. All you need is the Samsung SmartThings app installed—when you turn the tag on for the first time, it will pop up on your phone and automatically connect. Setting it up for your desired purpose is straightforward, with options for whether it’s an "on-the-go" or "stationary" item. You can even use it as a pet tracker by attaching it to a dog or cat collar. When using the tracking features, I’ve never had an issue. I’ve lost my keys before and managed to track and find them, even when they were lost in another city. The tracking isn’t live but updates every 5–10 minutes, depending on its location. There are multiple ways to locate the tag: you can ring it, which creates a loud and identifiable sound; use the "search nearby" feature, which feels a bit like a game of hot and cold; or navigate to it using your camera, with augmented reality arrows pointing you in the right direction. Battery life is excellent too—I found mine lasted about a year and a half on a single battery. You can also adjust the tag's tracking frequency to conserve power if needed. Overall, if you’re part of the Samsung ecosystem, I would highly recommend this product as an Apple AirTag alternative. However, it’s important to note that the SmartTag 2 doesn’t work on non-Samsung devices.

Brilliant little gadget
My husband lost his work keys last week and we had no clue whether they were lost at work, on the way to work, in a shop or at work. For 3 days they were lost. If only we had had a smart tag! So come. Prime day I saw these and couldn't resist and bought us both one for our keys. Very quick to set up using the smart things app. It instantly detected it, and set it up within seconds. Then I had to purposely "lose them" so I could hunt them backdown. The tag was accurate, easy to find and a small range of tones could be used to set to the device so it rings when activated to help find it when lost in hedges, behind sofa cushions, in the laundry basket.... Excellent value for money and will save hours trying to find where my husband or my kids have lost our keys. Cannot yet say how long the battery lasts but says it may last 500 days. We shall see. It also boasts it's at least splashproof. I'm not planning on taking my keys to the swimming pool to test if it lasts 30mins at 1m depth though, but it's nice to know it should withstand being carried in the rain or in a bag with an accidental water bottle leak.

Just as good as the Apple AirTag
If the AirTag is the gold standard for iPhone users, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is the undisputed champion for the Galaxy ecosystem. Redesigned with a more rugged, utilitarian aesthetic, it solves almost every physical complaint users had about the original SmartTag and its fruit-branded rival. The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is more than just a tracker; it’s a tool. It is more durable than the AirTag, more functional thanks to its programmable button, and more cost-effective because you don't need to buy a keychain for it. If you own a Galaxy device, this is a "no-brainer" purchase.

A pragmatic and cost effective solution.
My wife had misplaced a shoulder bag containing several valuable items - she found it eventually, but it got her worried. Amazon were running a special offer on the four-pack of Galaxy SmartTag2 trackers, so we decided to give them a try. They were easy to configure and work well. Obviously, they do not contain a GPS and cannot communicate with the servers on their own, but they are cheap to own, have a good battery life and will help to narrow down the search for your lost item. I've put a second one in the case of my new laptop.
