Mares designed the new Sirius watch-style dive computer with the aim of perfectly combining technology and elegance. The characteristics of this dive computer feature top-of-the-range technology both for the recreational and Extended Range divers. The recreational diver can see a simple screen, with the possibility of reading tank data thanks to the optional tank module. The Extended Range diver can insert up to five nitrox and trimix mixes to manage technical dives. The interchangeable strap allows the Extended Range diver to use any suit thickness. Wer die Bedienung des Mares Matrix drauf hat, muss sich hier kaum umgewöhnen. Schade ist jedoch, dass der Computer nicht in ein tiefes Standby ohne Anzeige versetzen lässt. So orgelt sich aller paar Tage der Akku komplett runter. Laut Anleitung sollte das dem Teil nichts ausmachen. Ich weiß ja nicht - Stichwort Tiefentladung. Was aber wirklich unterirdisch ist, ist die Helligkeit des Displays und die Leuchtdauer - wirklich sehr dunkel (selbst bei höchster Helligkeit) und nur kurze Leuchtdauer. Ich war noch nicht im Wasser, aber die Brillanz wie auf den Fotos wird an Land definitiv nicht erreicht.

Ottima fattura, computer di fascia medio/alta fornisce un'ottima visibilita' contrariamente a quanto letto in altre recensioni, a mio avviso si legge molto bene. La batteria quando usato semplicemente come orologio dura circa 6gg.
