Flow84 Low Profile Mechanical Keyboard, 75 Percent Rechargeable Wireless Keyboards with Bluetooth and Wired Connection for Windows, Mac OS/White Ghost Linear Switches

I found this keyboard after multiple days of searching for a nice low-profile keyboard, and this one definitely hit that mark. This keyboard has arguably the most creamy and thocky switches out of all low-profile keyboards which are a joy to type on. The sound is a low-pitched thock where even most high-profile keyboards can’t even sound this good. The lighting is really nice on this keyboard, although only having a white-only backlight, but the brightness can be adjusted, but the side lights are rgb, and you can change the color and the appearance. Although this is one of the best low-profile keyboards, there are some quirks, which are no software, and has no dongle, which might be a deal breaker for some. Back to the pros, It has a really nice presentation and aesthetic and minimal looks. The quality is top-notch since it has a aluminum case and nice-feeling keycaps. For travel, this is ideal since it doesn’t weight much and is more compact then a full-sized keyboard. Overall, this product was really well made and I would recommend you try it out, although it is on the more expensive side.

I'm used to a full profile mechanical keyboard with clicky switches that I've been using for a few years (a black-bodied, grey and white keycaps Hexgears K735 Redstone with Kailh Box White switches, just an awesome board for typing all day without any fatigue), as well as scissors switches on non-mechanical keyboards like those built into my MacBook Air; and also the switches in the lovely, non mechanical Logitech MX Keys Mini. But there existed a place in my keyboard toolkit for something not as loud or big as my clicky full-size (with numpad) keyboard and not as quiet or small as the Logitech (missed those dedicated Home/End/Pg Up/Pg Dn keys). I had tried a Keychron K10 Pro with brown tactile switches for almost a month, and then the following low profile mechanicals for a couple of weeks: Keychron K3 Pro (brown switches), Nuphy Air75 v1 (brown switches), and the Lofree Flow (both this one, the white with linear switches and the black model with tactile switches). This one, the Lofree Flow white model with linear switches, won me over. It wasn't an immediate win since I've never been a fan of linear switches and the feel is just so different on this keyboard compared to anything else I've tried (whether linear or whatever switches). But after having some real time working with each of the aforementioned keyboards, I realized I like this Lofree so much more than the other options. The keycaps feel so nice, kind of like piano keys. The keyboard action is just so...intriguing...in the nicest sense of that word. And the sound of the keys pressing down is just so lovely - it's quiet enough to not bother people you're on the phone/Zoom with, but gives such a pleasing low-pitched, percussive sound to you as you type (after watching a lot of footage about keyboards, I would say this the sound is BOTH thocky and creamy, like muted marbles). The build quality is solid. There were two YouTube videos I watched that complained about dents on the aluminum bottom plate in the same place for both buyers, but on both the white and black models I received in mid October 2023, those dents didn't exist. The keyboard has a nice weight to it and nice rubber feet so that it doesn't move at all when you type. I thought the lack of adjustable height would be a problem but it isn't for me at all - the typing angle and the low profile keys combine to work out for me. The fact that there's some backlight bleed through the keycaps showing a couple of dots of light per keycap doesn't bother me at all, in fact I like it - very distinctive. Since I generally steer towards clicky or tactile switches, I thought I'd end up liking the black Lofree with tactiles more, but that one just feels wrong to me - kind of heavy to push down on the keys, although it has found the favor of someone else in my household who will probably keep it for themselves. I bought this during Amazon's October 2023 Prime Day event for a really good price - there was a coupon of $34 off the normal price of $169.99 (so $135.99 before tax). I'm really glad I did. Would I have paid full price? I don't know...I've never spent that much on a keyboard...but is it worth the price difference over the other keyboards I tried and returned (the Nuphy was also on sale and the Keychron wasn't, it was $99.99 + tax)? Yes. Because a keyboard is something I use day in, day out, and using this one adds to my computing experience in such a positive way.

Absolutely love using this keyboard, I enjoy typing on it where I found myself missing it when I travel. I got a kit to remove the keys to clean it when things get inside. The quality looks sleek and the sound is so nice. I like the light options thought due to the battery duration, I usually keep it off unless it’s plugged in. Things to note: - I am constantly pressing the “PrtSc” button located just above the backspace. I have a Mac and it screen grabs whenever I press the key. Super annoying but I’ve dealt with it just because I love the tactile experience despite this issue. - Battery depletes very quickly, I have it plugged in most of the time which is inconvenient but manageable.

Ever have a product that you want to love, and you keep it until the end of the return window, trying to talk yourself into keeping it because there's so much you like about it? That's the LOFREE Flow keyboard in a nutshell. Quality-wise it's fantastic - we're talking Apple-level build quality and materials. Just excellent quality all around. The keys felt great, had a nice click but not too loud, great typing feel. Really wonderful. I like that it's white and matches my Apple Magic Trackpad. So why am I returning this? One word: Bluetooth. I'm coming from an Apple Magic Keyboard that I use over Bluetooth. My expectation of a Bluetooth keyboard is two-fold: stay powered up for at least the length of one meeting (30 minutes) so if I need to start typing I can. And, if it does go to sleep, wake up so fast I don't really notice it. Sadly, the LOFREE Flow fails on both counts: I haven't timed it, but it seems like it goes to sleep within about 5 minutes. I'll be in a meeting and I'll want to take notes but can't until the keyboard wakes up which take about three seconds, then it takes another 1-2 seconds before I'm sure it will accept all keyboard input. Five seconds doesn't sound like a lot, but it really does get irritating when it's happening 20+ times a day. Logging in when my laptop has a password prompt up is frustrating because I'll tap the spacebar once to wake the keyboard up, wait a few seconds, then start typing. But often the first key will be pressed before the keyboard has awoken, so the password will be wrong and I need to re-type it. This is an expensive product, so I had expectations that it would at least match the performance I get from an Apple Magic Keyboard. It does not. The battery life, despite all these frequent shutdowns and thick design, is also surprisingly poor. I have to charge it more often than my Apple Magic Keyboard. For me, wires are an ugly no-go, so I need a great Bluetooth keyboard that ticks all the boxes. Though it pains me to return the Flow, its Bluetooth failings are just too problematic to ignore (especially at this high price point). I hope the company will keep at it and improve the Bluetooth implementation on future products because I'd love to give another LOFREE product a shot!

I am pretty impressed with this keyboard. It sounds and feels great to type on. It also looks very good. I purchased the white version but wasn't a fan of the linear switches so I purchased the tactile phantom switches and swapped them in and I am much happier. The amount of thock and just overall good mechanical keyboard feel is pretty impressive for a low profile keyboard. I can't get over how good the keyboard feels to type on. Due to straining the ulnar in both of my wrists after getting into mechanical keyboards about 6 months ago I decided to start using low profile keyboards to give my wrists some wrests. This allow me to enjoy a decent mechanical keyboard while putting less strain on the wrist. There are some concerns; - Bluetooth works but is not great. There is a delay in the pressed keys being registered when you've not been typing for a bit keyboard. - There's no Fn lock. - They should seriously offer the ability to swap keycaps no matter what caps you have on your keyboard. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: I change my review to 5 stars from 4 simply because despite the slow bluetooth wakeup time this is hands down the best keyboard i've ever used. I've probably spent $100-$200 on switches for my mechanicals since getting this keyboard and I am always coming back to this one. There is simply nothing on the market that competes with this and for that it deserves the 5 stars. It is also saving my wrist from ulnar wrist pain since I started getting into Mechanicals last year. I actually bought this BECAUSE of the ulnar wrist pain and needing an alternative, now I can't get away from it.

First and foremost, I was impressed by the keyboard’s tactile feedback and pleasant typing experience when it worked. However, the keyboard encountered numerous issues from the start. It wouldn’t always completely turn off (the light indicator persisted), sometimes it wouldn’t respond to typing inputs, and the battery life was quite poor. Despite these problems, I persisted in using the keyboard. However, a few weeks ago, it refused to turn back on, regardless of my attempts. In contrast, I have several other keyboards that have not exhibited this issue. I reached out to support for assistance. After requesting multiple images and videos demonstrating the keyboard’s malfunction, they confirmed that they would send me a replacement. A few days later, I inquired again, and they assured me that the keyboard had been dispatched. It has been 3 weeks since this last message and regrettably, despite this assurance, I have yet to receive the keyboard. Two days ago, I reached out again to inquire about the status of the keyboard, but I have yet to receive a response. Although I enjoyed the keyboard, I would never purchase it again and would not recommend it to anyone else.

I've been using mechanical keyboards for about 5 years and have owned dozens of keyboards since then ranging from cheap amazon optical mechs to pricier custom built ones. As much as I like my hefty full travel wired mechanical keyboards at home I opt for low profile wireless keyboards at the office. I'm often shifting my peripherals around the desk at least once a day and being fully wireless and low profile (I don't need to use a wrist rest) keeps the setup portable and tidy. I'm primarily a MacOS user so the Magic Keyboard has been a staple for a long time. As many times as I've tried to replace it with a low profile mech, I eventually go back due to some major or minor gripe. When I spotted this Lofree Flow84 it seemed perfect on paper. Low profile, high quality build, linear switches, and supposedly good acoustics. On first use I was highly impressed. As far as typing, sound and build quality, this blows every other low profile mechanical keyboard out of the water (nuphy, Logitech, keychron). It feels as close to a custom keyboard as I've come across. The only thing was to test it for daily usage, connectivity and battery life which is why I waited 4 months before writing this review. 4 months later, I can say that I am still very happy with the keyboard. Here are the main issues I've seen complaints about and my own experience: Battery Life: My keyboard lasted 4+ months with ~20 hours a week usage. I wasn't expecting even a month but this keyboard outpaces my Apple Magic Keyboard which I'm more than happy with. This is with the backlight AND ambient side lights OFF. In my experience, it's not realistic to expect most mechanical keyboards to have decent battery life with any lights on. The backlight looks awful with these keycaps so I can't imagine anyone wanting to use them anyway. **UPDATE: keyboard ran out of battery just shy of 6 months with the same usage. Connectivity: I haven't had any issues with connection speed or lag. The only issue would be how this keyboard is programmed to sleep. I have timed this and my flow84 seems to go to sleep at around the 12 minute mark. It takes about 2 seconds to wake up if you are actively using the computer (display on). If you've let the display go to sleep then it takes about 3 seconds to wake. This is probably a minor or major con depending on your usage. Personally it doesn't bother me because I don't go very long without any keyboard inputs but I can imagine this really bothering someone that mainly uses a cursor for prolonged periods. The only time I personally notice it is when I step away from the computer and it goes to sleep and I must wake the screen/keyboard to input my password. If I'm wearing my Apple Watch (most of the time) then by the time I press a key to wake the screen and the watch unlocks my Mac, the keyboard has already woken up. YMMV 3/17/26: ~2 year update; the keyboard is still working great however the battery capacity has diminished significantly since. I am now getting 2-3 weeks of runtime from the same usage patterns. Not entirely unexpected as batteries degrade over time but the drop-off was quite drastic. I may consider swapping the internal battery if I'm able to source a proper one that is cost effective. But for the foreseeable future this keyboard will be running of wired mode for convenience.

La tastiera e' molto bella e, a differenza di quanto avevo letto in varie recensioni online, non ha dato nessun problema di connessione tramite bluetooth. Peccato che l'esemplare inviatomi da Amazon fosse palesemente usato: un tasto presentava un lieve segno di inchiostro, mentre i keycaps dei tasti Y e Z risultavano scambiati. Inoltre non era avvolta nella busta di plastica che si vede in tanti unboxing... Quindi 5 stelle alla tastiera, 3 stelle ad Amazon che mi ha spedito un esemplare usato ma venduto come nuovo

Typing on the keyboard feels like massage sometimes on my finger. Each key press sounds like mahjong tiles hitting each other. The ghost linear switches is easy to type on, I would recommend this over tactile switchers on the black version

Bought the white one, my first mechanical keyboard (had mx keys, the flat one). looks and feels amazing Oh, and the issue about the led shines through the keys is barely visible) unless you are in a dark room with keys brightness at level 2 or 3 (out of 4). Not an issue at all for me

I have exclusively used low profile keyboards for many years and own multiple Keychron boards that while functional, lack the fun and aesthetics that are widely available for standard mechanical keyboards. The Lowfree flow changes that, with an attractive and professinoal all white aesthetic, and an aluminum body that speaks to quality. Most importantly, the oft remarked 'thocky' and 'creamy' typing experience is not oversold, and is a joy to use. Many reviews and online commentary are rightly scathing of the bluetooth auto-standby and wake delay. While it is a notable imperfection, as someone who exclusively uses a bluetooth connection I am glad I didn't let it dissuade me from the purchase. The short and non-configurable standby timer is annoying, but I have found the wake time to be no more than a second. Finally, I purchased the flow84 on sale just weeks before the release of the flow 2 whose awkward design did not appeal. I'm glad I did and recommend also waiting for a discount which are significant on an otherwise premium price.
