I’ve been using the Tapo Smart Plug for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best tech purchases I’ve made! 💡 ✅ Value for Money – For the price, this smart plug offers a ton of features that even more expensive options don't. Excellent product. Works really well. The Tapo app has so many features to schedule this plug. I use this to control a very old AC which does not have any buttons or remote. I schedule the plug to start and stop at particular times. I also have added the auto off feature so that AC will stop automatically after sometime. Meaning I don't have to worry about anything while I sleep at night. The plug auto offs and ons through the entire night while I sleep. Also the app shows energy consumption of the appliance being used so that's a nice way to check it. This connects via wifi and therefore can be accessed, and controlled even when you are not at home.

Functionally, the product is good. It switches off and on perfectly using the Mobile App and also through my Alexa Echo Dot. It was very easy to configure it in the Mobile App. I found only 1 problem. Since it has a rated capacity of 16 amps, the plug pins are the big ones - 16 amps. So we can only fit it in a 16 amps socket. Alternatively, buy a 16-6 amps plug converter. I use this when we go out of station. I frequently switch off and on light inside the house, to give the impression that somebody is at home.

I bought this mainly to monitor the power usage of a few appliances, and it has been working well so far. The setup was quick through the Tapo app and it connected to Wi-Fi without any issues. The app interface is easy to understand, and the energy monitoring feature is actually quite useful to see how much electricity devices are consuming. I also like the scheduling and remote control options, which make it convenient to turn appliances on or off when needed. The plug feels solid and handles larger appliances without any problem. Overall, it’s a practical and affordable smart plug that does what it’s supposed to do.

I wanted to purchase it for electrical automation and energy consumption of my large appliance. It is very easy to use and the app works perfectly on an iOS device that also connects with amazon alexa in just one click on the app. You can monitor energy consumption in terms of current, daily, monthly as well as annually. The socket itself is made of quality product, although a universal socket would have been a better feature to have. Price seems slightly on the higher side.

This product is amazing and the app support is great 👍 My water pump connect through this and we are family of five can access it accross diffrent palaces It also works on alexa. Also reduce my energy requirements because of auto off and on timer

I am Anoop. I bought this two days back and using now. I am highly satisfied. This is a brilliant product. I bought for my water filter on/off scheduling. But while exploring its features, I found an amazing useful feature which is called Charge Guard. This feature can monitor the device working and auto switch off when the power usage goes below a pre set threshhold. I use this like this. My water filter uses 16 watts during its operation and less than 1w after water full cuttoff. So I decided to set the charge guard mode in the app and set 5watts and threshhold abd 1 minutes as wait time. Now the plug switchoff itself after a minute of water filter pump stops. Inbuilt switch on the side of the plug is also useful. Scheduling, timer mode etc are also useful. Only thing to check is, this specific model can be plugged in only to a power plug.

Pros: - Good Product built wise - Decent app, with good controls and options - Works with Google assistant, Alexa, Samsung smart things (I can even control from my TV) - Graphs for electricity monitoring - so you can actually see how much power was being used in the past also. In some other plugs (like Wipro) all you can see is either current power or total units used in the day. - Scheduling is nice, auto off is also nice. Cons: - It supports being added to the TP-Link Deco app, but the process never completes and always shows an error. I have 2 of these and both devices have the same issue. Ultimately had to settle with Tapo app only. - Initial setup fails sometimes. Takes 4-5 tries before it finally gets connected but then works flawlessly. - The overall size is quite big (vs some others like the Wipro one I have). So on some plug points it either pushes the switch as well. Also I cannot use two of these in plug points one above the other because they are too big and don't fit one above the other. - For automation, there are limited options with respect to the current state of the plug. For eg, in the Wipro one I have, I can set automation to switch off if power drawn is <600W for some time. However, in the tapo p110, the only triggers for the switch status are either on or off. There is no power drawn etc options. Another example: On my other smart plug, I have an automated notification which I receive when power drawn is >600W (basically informing me that water pump is pulling water), or if it stays below 600W the plug switches off after 15minutes. On tapo this automation is not possible - neither the notification for power drawn nor the auto switch off if power drawn is below specific level.

Excellent product and fits in so well with the Tapo app and the eco system. So much functionality. Scheduled Time on/off , count down, power consumption.

Still under testing. Overall a good experience that meets my needs.
