Game changer for a perfect dimple/countersink in drywall
In the past I have used the drywall dimplers that come in the 4 packs at the big box stores. They work ok, but quickly strip on the Phillips head side, and aren't great at driving drywall screws with a good countersink. I am doing a whole home renovation and have had to replace around 8 sheets of drywall in my kitchen and living room. This Bosch Drywall Dimpler has been amazing for countersinking the drywall screw the exact amount needed each and every time, allowing me to follow up afterwards with mud to hide the screws. The only way you can mess this up is if you don't drive the screw in straight. If you drive the screw at an angle it will causes a portion of the head to stick about the surface of the drywall, which you do not want, of course. I have driven hundreds of drywall screws with this so far and see no signs of wear on the bit yet. Great tool at a great price!

Lives up to the claims made in the sales pitch
Wow, this really does work well. Very easy to use. The magnet keeps the screw straight and makes one-handed operation possible when holding the drywall with the other. It releases every time with the screw dimpled into the paper just right. Very nice product

not professional, but 100% proho quality
disposable, but better than the common blister pack of the cheap dimplers. a couple of these will hang more than 1 remodlel comfortably

Excellent screw setter
I drywalled my garage several weeks ago, for the first wall I used my 18V cordless drill to drive the drywall screws. While I was careful, a lot of screws went in too deep and tore through the facing paper. The clutch on my drill, while very sensitive, was either too much or too little so I had to drive the screws by eye. I wasn't about to spend hundreds of dollars for a dedicated drywall screw drill, so I bought the Bosch D60498. I finished the other two wall in record time and the Bosch screw setter worked flawlessly. I put my drill on high-speed, set the torque to maximum, and had at it. Every single screw was perfectly set. I am very happy with this purchase.

Poor quality! Cheap plastic collar always breaks.
I bought the tool and used it for a month, when I accidentally dropped it. Oops, it broke the blue collar which is made of plastic. My fault, no problem, I immediately bought another one. I used the next one for two months when somehow the blue collar plastic cracked and would no longer drive a screw. I didn’t drop it or do anything that would’ve caused any damage and the plastic still cracked. Needless to say, I will not be buying another one and I’m looking at/for alternatives. In summary, it works great.. for a short time. Do not recommend.

Design is great until it stops working
I used this in my DeWalt 1/4" drive impact seting 1-5/8"L drywall screws into 1/2" drywall, wood studs. While the tool was still working it worked like a phenom - didn't strip screws (quality bit), and perfectly-driven screws! Too good to believe. After ~150x screws it started binding in the released/dimpled setting. This meant I would go to drive a screw and the bit wouldn't spin. I had to manually pull & reset the bit after every_single_screw! It had only been ~5 drywall sheets, but I used some compressed air & oiled it. Didn't help. I was still manually releasing the chuck after every screw! This slowed me down a lot.

Get this instead of the cheaper little all-metal ones
I bought a 12 pack of the little all-metal drywall dimplers (for cheap!) but I don't like how they cam out as they drive to the correct depth. This severely shortens the life of them, and I found myself going through them really quickly, but not noticing they are stripped out until I discover that I need to put way too much pressure on the driver to get it to sink to the correct depth. I don't even have that much to do, I'm working on my own house, I'm not a pro! Anyway, I've only hung a few sheets with this bit and it is SO MUCH better. I can drive a screw left-handed above my head on a ladder! I was able to hang about 3 sheets in the time it took me to hang one previously, because I wasn't constantly checking and re-driving every other screw!

Wish I had ordered this before I started drywall project
I had looked at DYI videos using this but had a dewalt "dimpler" in my toolset so I skipped buying it at first. The basic dewalt version rips/burns the paper and does a poor job. This works more like a tool specifically made for drywall as the outside ring doesn't spin. If you are a DYI person doing drywall, stop looking and just buy this. Don't even consider the cheaper versions. Either buy this or invest another 150 bucks for a drywall screwdriver.
