Making this review after almost 2 years since my purchase. I bought this product with so much expectation and excitement, knowing that it was designed by an IIT student. What could possibly go wrong?. After 1 year and 9 months i realized basically everything is wrong with this product. So wrong that you begin to wonder how the medical authority and other relevant authorities in fact allowed this to be commercialized. I stopped using it after a few months of my purchase. Recently picked it out of the closet and did a trial test hoping it would work by now. It didn't, hence this review.1. To say that the Hb reading is Extremely Inaccurate, would be an understatement. A fit young gym guy in his early 20s, has a Hb of 6.2 on this product. That's what i'm talking about. Tried with both finger pricked blood and syringe drawn blood. One full, giant drop of blood on the test strip, as per product instruction. Same result. Many a time, i even cross checked with results from clinics. Same sample, different results between this meter and that of clinic, different by a factor of sometimes upto 7.2. The power button has to be literally rammed down using your fingers or sometimes even the blunt end of a pen or pencil with great force, to switch it On.3. Every now and then, at the last moment, it will shown an error. Despite following the steps: Turn on > Insert strip > Add blood drop4. The charging battery indicator doesn't indicate when it is full. So you never know when it would be.5. For a device that calls itself instant test meter, the 60seconds analysis time is too long. For one sample or two samples, it doesn't come up as much of an issue. But What if some medical professional wants to use this device, say , in a rural medical camp, with hundreds of samples to be tested in a short time. Then it would be a huge issue.
