This yarn winder is amazing and worth every penny. It wound 10 ounces of medium weight yarn in under 5 minutes. The only tangle issues I run into is from the yarn itself. I love that there are notches at the base of the spindle to keep the yarn from slipping below and getting caught in the mechanics. I wish they would have kept the notches at the top of the spindle too because I prefer a center pull when crocheting. Feels sturdier than others I’ve tried, and putting it together was a breeze.

An easy to use device that works really well each and every time. Just pull the yarn through the paths of the machine and lock in place and turn the dial. None of this manual hand cranking being bored, instead buy this machine to do the work for you. I bought for my husband and he loves it. Get one.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold up well with frequent or high-volume use. After about three months of heavy usage, the motor started to wear out and struggled to wind a full skein. Despite its short lifespan, I keep coming back to it because it still outperforms any hand winder I’ve tried. Just know that it’s best suited for occasional use. I also tried the larger capacity version hoping it would handle bigger skeins better, but it was a disappointment—extremely loud, constantly got stuck, and didn’t work at all for my needs. I ended up returning it. If you’re a casual user, this winder is a great tool. Just be aware of its limitations if you’re winding yarn frequently or in large quantities.

I'm in love with this thing. I might run away to a deserted island with it. I have so many partial skeins around from old projects. I have so many hanks of yarn from wherever. I have SO MUCH YARN. I bought this when my hand crank yarn winder stripped its gears, and I thought I was being a diva by getting a powered one. I was, but that's beside the point. The point is, I regret NOTHING. Assembly was super easy - a single included screw, installed with an included screwdriver. It looks nifty, and has no exposed gears. This makes a much tidier yarn ball than my hand crank one ever did, and I did not have any issues with yarn getting under the spindle thanks to the wide bottom disc. It automatically stops itself when there's a snarl, so I don't worry about stripping the gears. You do have to be nearby in case there's an issue, but most of those have been the standard tangled yarn varietal. It keeps nice, easy tension and can handle a pretty good sized ball of yarn. There's noise, but honestly, it's quieter than my half broken hand crank was, even when it was new. I love this thing so much. Now, if you'll pardon me, I'm going to go make all of my random chaotic leftover yarn into tidy, manageable cakes.

Not as easy as people say. First thing I read when I opened the instructions was that this is not designed for use with an umbrella swift. Well—- if you aren’t using a swift, what are you winding? From a skein or ball? Interesting. So I gave it a try anyway. It do not wind properly the first couple of times because it randomly spun yarn above the actual ball area?? Strange. Also did not have a center pull when threaded as instructed. Also the threading if done as instructed is fiddly and the tension is too tight. As it is winding, it is very sensitive to resistance and will stop very easily. So you basically have to sit with it and make sure the yarn is feeding without resistance the whole time. That sort of defeats the purpose of paying for an electric winder. I’m lost as to exactly what people are using this for that they think it’s so great. I sent mine back today and very sorry about it. I wanted to love it!

手動→安い電動→この商品を今回購入しました。 糸をかけるところが安い電動のものと違いしっかりした作りなのできれいな玉ができます。 以前のものはプラスチックで本体に差し込みのみで糸の振動で外れるし、そうなると回転している部分の根元に絡みついてガガガギギギとすごい音で動かなくなってました。抑えのバネ部分も1つだけだったのでゆるゆるの玉になってました。 この商品は糸の方の絡みでまわらなくなった時も静かに止まります。 回転音も安い電動の1/3ぐらいの音でとても静かです。 動きも滑らかで静かだしきれいな糸玉ができるのでまだ編む予定のない毛糸も巻き直ししたくなってしまいました。

Muy buena máquina, me ha ahorrado muchísimo tiempo. Enrolla los ovillos de lana rápido y sin esfuerzo, además no hace mucho ruido. Funciona sin cable y eso es súper cómodo. La batería dura bastante. Lo recomiendo para quienes hacen crochet o punto con frecuencia.
